I'm John I normaly hang out over in the TOS section of the board but I thought I'd drop this over here as it concerns STAR TREK: THE NEW UNIVERSE...

I was just on ANOVOS' Facebook page and read this...

"We will be launching the Trek XI items this weekend! We will be re-opening the blue stunt tunic and the Uhura red stunt dress, too! International orders for Trek are also now welcomed!"

Im with you. Those red jackets in TOS Movies seemed better at hiding our sins than these things. Still snazzy though.

Yeah, about those red jackets, ANOVOS just posted this a day or so ago on their Facebook page...

If these things are actually constructed anything like the jackets actually used in the movies then $329 isn't out of line with what you'd pay for a comparably constructed blazer off the rack.

OTOH, if that's the price tag attached to the 2009 tunic - yeah. Whoooooeeee.

lol, those are for the dresses. I'm afraid of what the jackets are going for.

The dress sample shown in the photo, BTW, is a simplified design compared to the outfit actually worn by Saldana which featured at least three gores up the sides rather than the one. Presumably it's based on a featured background player's outfit.
