Other possible "hopeless defence" holo scenarios of Bashir

Can

What other possible historic hopeless defence or heroic battle scenarios Dr. Bashir and Chief O'Brien might have preffered ? Like Battle of Britain or Alamo ? As a history buff myself I made a guess.

1) Operation Market Garden (17-26 September 1944 Netherlands ) : Bashir and O'Brien , two British paratroopers defending Arnhem bridge against Waffen-SS attacks

2) Battle of Waterloo (18 June 1815 Belgium ) Bashir and O'Brien , two British redcoats this time fighting in Wellington's army against Napoleon

3) Siege of Khartoum (1884 Khartoum Sudan) That would be a riot. Since actor Alexander Siddiq who plays Bashir is half Sudanese by birth I can easily imagine him being the Mahdi , fundementalist religious leader of Dervish army , investing Khartoum

Any more suggestions ?

Wallabies vs England, Twickenham Stadium 2010. Bashir as Quade Cooper and O'Brien as anyone in the forward pack.

General Custer's last stand.

Bartholomew Roberts (the last and greatest of the Great Pirates), in his final battle against the British, amid a mighty storm....

Gettysberg. (Not a heroic defeat...but a battle of legend and valor on both sides, nonetheless.)

Masada, Israel, against the Romans. (Despite the mass suicide at the end.)

Tiananmen Square.

Darmok, and Jalad, at Tanagra. What? It sounds like it could be a battle to me.

The Battle of Thermopylae

The Bay of Pigs Invasion

-Defence of Wake Island. (December 1941) O'Brien and Bashir as US Marines

-Fall of Constantinople (1453) Bashir as Mehmed II "Conquerer" Ottoman Sultan investing the city.

Hopeless defence scenario that bucked the trend and actually won, Rourke's Drift. 150 or so Redcoats against 3,000, maybe 4,000, Zulus.

Heroic battle situation that didn't go so well, the Charge Of The Light Brigade.

Somehow I can't see them taking the part of Nazis. Although oddly I can imagine Sisko ranting at the assembled Generals, with his distressed staff listening in from the corridor.

2) Battle of Waterloo (18 June 1815 Belgium ) Bashir and O'Brien , two British redcoats this time fighting in Wellington's army against Napoleon

Wouldn't they have to fight for Napoleon's side in that case?

How about....

1.) The Battle of Caporetto from World War I. Bashir and O'Brien play two Italian officers who have to hold back the Austro-Hungarian advance.

2.) The Battle of Hastings. Bashir and O'Brien play two native Englishmen facing the forces of William the Conqueror.

3.) The Sack of Rome (A.D. 410). Bashir and O'Brien have to defend the eternal city from the Visigoths.

4.) The Fall of Constantinople. Bashir and O'Brien must defend the city from the Ottomans.

Interesting question, just to go slightly off topic; I've never really thought about what it would be like experiencing these things in the holosuite-just assuming they're delightful little romps like some amazing computer game but I can't help think it'd be horrific - especially some of the older battles - hearing someones prolonged screams of dagony after smashing their skull open with a battle axe and it seeming as if it is real sounds horrific to me. I'm no prude to violence, i enjoy gory movies and video games but I wonder if a 100% accurate simulation of these experiences would ever be appropriate or something people would do for fun.
It sounds more draining and nightmarish to me (as I'm sure a lot of soldiers would testify).

I think these holo suite programs were written as less gory and horrific and more thrilling/romantic/heroic type. Like those old war movies where John Wayne fights against natives or when somebody shot during combat he falls to ground without sound. After all as Kassidy Yates admitted in Bidda Bing... episode these programs are not %100 accurate in historical sense.

I do not think Bashir or O'Brien would object being in winning side once in a while....I do not think French had any soldiers speaking in British accents in Waterloo

I think you must be right Can.

-Battle of El Alamein (October-November 1942) Bashir and O'Brien two British Tommies fighting against Rommel's German/Italian Afrikakorps during World War II

-Gallipoli Landings (1915) Bashir and O'Brien as ANZAC troops landing and fighting in Gallipoli peninsula against Turkish in World War I

-Siege of Troy (Ancient Greece)

-Battle of Teutoburg Forest (9 CE) Bashir and O'Brian as Roman legioneries fighting desperately against Germanic tribes

- With the French General Montcalm at the Plains of Abraham.

- With Bonnie Prince Charlie at Culloden.

- With the last Crusaders at the final siege of Acre in 1291

- With Vercingetorix and the Gauls at Alesia.

I think recent battles would not be considered here. Do you remember the controversy about the Taliban being a [playable] belligerent in one of those recent video games? That was too recent, and so was Wold 359. So no Borg-busting for Bashir and O'Brien. Besides, that was a space battle. I thought they only fought land battles, be it with (what they would call primitive) firearms or hand weapons.
