I missed the first ten minutes, turned it on just as they were watching the clip of Ackles on "Days of Our Lives." How'd they end up in this universe?

Balthazar whipped them over there to hide them. Raphael had put out a hit on everyone who ever helped out Cas. Angel civil war. You missed douchebag tweeting Misha.

Guess jumping back into their universe via the symbol didn't work.

That was great. Too bad I'm banned from TWOP. Oh well, they chase away everyone positive eventually. Someone has already asked why Jared was more successful than Jensen in this universe. : That's who they're left with on that site.

I LOVED Misha tweeting all the time. And the line, "What kind of dick names a character after himself!?"

Although, I do admit that it was a bit weird seeing Misha, playing "Misha" getting killed.

No. It's terrific. I laughed until I cried. Alt Misha was such a pansy. It was priceless. I loved Eric's "walk of death" and they even did a nod to the people who bitch that the show "hates" black people by not having the angel shoot the black shop owner, only butting him in the head with the rifle when he shot everyone else.

But they weren't even brothers there. Awwwww.....so sweet.

I normally can't stand these type of meta episodes but I have to say this is the best episode all season. I loved it--tv these days has so much in the way of predictable unimaginative storytelling that I love it when I see an actual inventive story concept like this.

All the namedropping and weaving in of "real world shout outs" was so expertly handled and done in such an organic way that you can't fault it--rather you have to marvel at it. I thought they did go a little overboard with the Misha tweeting but the rest just was too much fun to complain about--Genieve, Jensen's old Days of Our Lives youtube clip, Sera Gamble, Eric Kripke, Vancouver etc. Another thing that I don't like about a lot of SN's meta/comedy episodes is that they really aren't funny and the humor is forced and over-the-top but in this episode it was just right and felt natural--to me that is always the best way to handle humor.

This is about the only episode this entire season I am the least bit interested in rewatching.

I am more shocked then you, because startrekwatcher and I seemed to be the only people in the US who hated, hated Changing Channels.

Not that I dislike Meta, Monster at the end of the Book is one of my favorite episodes.

I loved Changing Channels. That herpes commercial was worth the price of admission.

Changing Channels was just flat out dumb in my opinion--silly. I hated it but this episode was handled much better in my opinion--everything happened because it made sense--CC felt like everything was written to satisfy the stupid gag they wanted to do and it was so random jumping from one parody to the next.

It all came down to execution--CC was poorly executed and TFM was well done in my opinion.

I loved Changing Channels, too, but I think this episode was definitely better.

Yes, I'd have to give this eppy a higher rating. I concur. God, I loved Sam and Dean "acting."

Well, Mishamigos, a bit silly but definitely some moments. Supernatural does love the meta.

A small moment but for some reason it cracked me up when "Jensen" gave the bum a Canadian 50. I also liked "Jared"'s crack about the number of viewers. Instead of Days of Our Lives they should've played the Eye of the Tiger clip.

I would've thought it would be harder to get a gun in Canada.

Ok, that actually was pretty damn funny, and kept the guys in character. And oh my god, all the tiny throw away bits referencing the show or the actors was pretty fing awesome.

I miss Raphael's original actor though. So now we have two threats played by women.
