TARDIS spotted at WB lot

Havnt been online for ages and ages.

Awesome photo, quite surreal to look at.

Im with the majority, either promotional or an in-movie gag, much like the Daleks in Looney Tunes back in action and countless other dalek gags since the 60s.

And please dont remind me of the Depp/movie rumour, just had breakfast.

After doing a quick google search on the image, wasn't able to find any answers. As mentioned earlier it is from three week ago and even the website Doctor Who Spoilers suggests that it could be there for promotional purposes. The mystery continues!

Yeah I think Lonemagpie brought that up earlier in the thread.

There's money to be made if the guys who came up with the automatic spell checking for the forum came up with something that flags comments on threads with "this has already been said!" :p

Why has Torchwood been relocated to America? But considering what shit went down in Wales/England, Jack wouldn't want to open up deep wounds that are still raw...

My instinct is to say fake as well. None of the other major Doctor Who news sites have run this picture.

HOWEVER ... according to the Doctor Who News Page, Torchwood Series 4 has been filming at the Warner Bros Studios this month...

Let the speculation continue! ;)

rumours aside, I think it would be quite cool to see a cameo of the doctor in the new torchwood series (ala SJA), only I seriously wonder how that can work since it is being handled by a different studio.. or carrier..

though i did think that it was going to be a joint venture with the BBC and STARS?? I could be mistaken..

Doesn't anyone watch BBC America?

They've been showing little vignette's of the TARDIS appearing at places in America.

It's a promo for the lead-up to Series 6.

Don't have the cable package with BBC America so nope. Why would they need a physical Tardis for commercials? Cheaper than doing a CGI model or stock? I've not seen the commercials so just curious to see how it appears.

It's not a commercial, it's a promotion.

CGI looks good on TV, but doesn't really show up live on-location, which is the point of the TARDIS appearing around the country, hence the necessity of a physical prop. It's being placed for the sake of gossiping passersby, not the TV audience.
