Makes me think Paramount will bend over backwards for whatever RDJ suggests to keep him happy. Pretty soon they'll give him "Executive Producer" credit.

Well he is the centerpiece of this franchise so he gets pissed off and leaves they're down a significant part of their movie universe.
You mean Disney and Marvel Studios.
Actually I forgot that Paramount distributed the first film.
They distributed the first two, but Disney paid them out and will be handling the third one.

I'm excited. However, I have a feeling we might not see The Mandarin, but I could be wrong.

I think if we do see The Mandarin that Black will focus on the more real world aspects of the character.

It seems like Black is writing a big, bold, action/adventure story which can only be a good thing. I like the idea of Tony taking on "real life" villains akin to the terrorists from the first movie, especially after "Avengers". If Mandarin does show up I have always suspected that they would have an "realistic" take on the character and his rings. I had an idea after seeing the first movie that the Mandarin was the leader of the Ten Rings and he gave out rings to the cell leaders of the organization as a sing of loyalty. I never worked it out more than that though.
Hmm - looks like if Black is writing it, it won't be alone. Shame.
