Based on some of his recent twitter posts my guess is that David is writing it at the moment.

Though the idea of a 24th-century coda is an amusing one, I'm not sure it will actually work with the story that I'm writing. However, it's not an exaggeration to say that the ending of RLL has been conceived with an eye toward defining the MU's future in the TrekLit continuity.

I'm pretty jazzed to read Rise Like Lions.

Never ever thought I would enjoy the Mirror Universe all that much until that one fateful story featuring Emperor Spock kind of put sense of task and mission to the whole thing.

same here. that was an amazing book, and looking forward to the conclusion. Maybe because it tried to treat the material seriously, rather than going in and assuming everyone is mustache-twirling evil, or having every female character lez out for no reason...

(you only mentioned the iterations of one version of Optimus Prime, without even going into other versions like, say, the live-action movie version)

which is because, in case you don't know, other continuity versions of characters are dealt with on seperate pages. IE, G1/G2 Prime, Robots in Disguise Prime, Armada/Energon/Cybertron Prime, Bayformers Prime, Animated Prime, Prime from Transformers: Prime, etc.

Indeed, if anything Transformers has more experience with alternate universes than Trek does --so much so that we've had to come up with ways to catalogue them.

That's the main reason I've love the Memory Omega version of the MU, it's added depth and serious storylines to the MU. I've always liked the MU as just crazy, kinda goofy trashy fun, but now the novels have actually turned it into a decent story.

As some previous comments might indicate the direction of your work might have been influenced by things transpiring here, I would be most honored if part of my online writing directly or indirectly inspired a future work of published Star Trek writing, no matter what the circumstances. Thank you for the graciousness of this message and that possibility.
