X-MEN: FIRST CLASS (Casting, Rumors, Pics till release)

I liked Jackman's performance as Wolverine early on but I think he looks like too much of a pretty boy now. The Wolverine Origin movie was a disaster in just about every way. As for the Wolverine character, he has been absolutely done to death in the comics by overexposure. The cool character he was in the 80s and 90s is long since gone. I was glad to hear he wasn't going to be in this film.

About Patrick Stewart, he was always the favorite to play Professor X. I was disappointed though that in three movies, they never gave Stewart a chance to cut loose. The guy is an amazing actor and they never gave him anything out of the ordinary in the films. I think he recently said that in three movies, his best scene was left on the cutting room floor.

The pics of Hugh with his Logan beard back that have been floating out there are pretty sweet. I think he's really jazzed about doing "The Wolverine" and working with Aronfronsky again, who arguably got one of his best performances out of Hugh in "The Fountain".

Regardless of his not being a physical match, one thing I've liked about Jackman is his passion for the role. He really seems to enjoy playing Logan.

Yep. Not to mention understanding fundamental characteristics Logan has. I think he has acknowledged that "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" was a critical failure in the fans eyes. In fact I think he was quoted just a few weeks ago as saying something like "finally we can get going on making the great Wolverine movie everyone has been expecting".

^ Ah, okay. But I would've said that it was based around him and Scully and that his relationship with her pretty much stops him being a loner.

She techically just supposed to be his business partner.(that's why many fans were upset by her baby being his)
One person doesn't make one not a loner.
His profile states when they aren't on a case he spents his time alone locked in his apt. watching porn. That's a loner.

Does anyone think that Michael Fassbender is going to steal the show? The movie needs its Hugh Jackman, and I have a feeling Magneto will become this series' Wolverine.

Have mentioned before that I think Fassbender is going to be the performance to watch in the movie. Along with Kevin Bacon as Sebastian Shaw. The God Professor also is going to be excellent.

^ Mulder's an anti-hero?
Fox Mulder is a loner & leading man.
The X-Files series is based around that character.
Anti-Hero? Maybe.
Isn't he trying to go against government(s) to expose the proof of extraterrestrial life?

I think I'd call Mulder more of an Underdog than an Anti-Hero. I picture an Anti-Hero being a bad guy that you root for, like Mal Reynolds in "Firefly." He's a thief, but we root for him because we like him. Mulder isn't a bad guy or a criminal.
