The Doctor Who Cheat Sheet

I was traveling the interwebs this fine day and came across this cool find:
The Doctor Who Cheat Sheet

When I began reading the infograph I was shocked to find that canon had been changed. When did this happen:

"Traditionally Time Lords were limited to twelve regenerations, but the Eleventh Doctor recently stated that he could regenerate over 500 times."

When exactly was it decided that the doctor could regenerate over 500 times?!? More importantly was there a great outcry from the loyal fans of the Doctor?

that was in Sarah Jane Adventures, the Eleventh Doctor told Cylde he could regenerate 500+ times, the problem is im not sure he meant it, given that they were crawling though an air vent at the time.

Not only that, but this comment came as the kid was pestering the Doctor with a bunch of questions (one after the other) while they were crawling through that duct. Even the musical score in the background was that goofy/light music that says, "This scene is meant to be funny." I took it as a joke and not the end of life as we know it.

Also -from what I hear- the 11th Doctor's actual birth certificate says he was born in Kenya, not on Gallifrey...

i love the fact that only 6 doesn't have something in his hand...
I thought that was odd, for all the talk of the 5th Doctor not using a sonic screwdriver, here he is one holding, shouldnt he be holding a kettle and some string?

That or maybe I need to not taken my knowledge of the 5th Doctor from Time Crash.

No, Doctor Who fans don't do outrage, we all took it really well...

And if you believe that I have a bridge you might be interested in buying...

Someday there will be fans with a sense of humor... until then... just outrage.

Well, there are plenty of fans with a sense of humour and there are fans who get easily outraged. The latter group is just a lot more louder. Also, the first group probably just chuckled at the remark and didn't feel the need to hammer out why RTD just ruined Doctor Who yet again in 10.000 words somewhere on the net. ;)

He used the sonic screwdriver until Episode 2 of The Visitation.
... when it died and went to screwdriver heaven:wah:. It's kind of peculiar that they felt the need to keep it out of the show. Six and Seven never once use one, unless someone can correct me.

(It was murder, btw.)

^ I stand corrected. Still, about fourteen years of non-use, encompassing over seven seasons of the show. Madness!

I like the idea of the Doctor having a lot more regenerations than he did in Classic Who.

Obviously not. As far as we still know he still has thirteen. This could change depending on the story. My point and as others in the actual SJA thread stated at the time the comment was meant to be taken as a joke and was delivered as such by the Doctor since Clyde was pesturing him.

I am sure there would have been more out rage had it happaned on Doctor Who, and not Sarah Jane Advenures.
