This show has gotten reeeeeeeeaaaaaaaally predictable the only moment of surprise was Casey's fall but it was so awkward in how it came about that it seems "off"

Well, the commercial gave it away; they showed him actually hitting the ground.
Still, I thought it was a fairly dramatic moment; poor Casey. But, yeah, in general, the show is very predictable.

It's always been pretty predictable. It's like NCIS in that the plots are pretty predictable but the joy in watching the show comes from the characters and how they interact with each other.

The show used to have a bit more zip to their plots and the character interactions which used to have been great have become just as stale.

Well it's their fifth series finale in 3-1/2 seasons, with a sixth finale on the way, so hopefully it's a good one and they're not just going through the motions.

Sarah attempts to free Mama Bartowski while Morgan and Chuck team up against Volkoff. Casey's relationship with Alex begins to develop and Ellie deals with an anxious dad-to-be Devon.
Well it's their fifth series finale in 3-1/2 seasons, with a sixth finale on the way, so hopefully it's a good one and they're not just going through the motions.

Finally got around to watching last week's episode. Predictable, but I still can't stop watching this show. It's so goofy it's fun.

I've never believed i'd say this but Chuck is slowly losing me.. it's not as fun as it used to be, the plots are even more predictable than they used to be and it seems everybody is just dreamwalking through their roles.
It's also not that Chuck and Sarah are a couple.. that development i actually liked after years of will they/won't they and that Casey got a bit more backstory but i feel they've run out of cool ideas with the show.
The main plot of getting Chuck's mom out of Volkof's hands is just boring now and Sarah being a double agent is just laughable.
I hope they pick it up soon because Chuck is slipping right now.

Same, sadly. I'm really not fond of the Volkof Industries arc, the Buymore is just stale and Ellie going back to not knowing on top of getting a sidelining pregnancy storyline annoys me.

Yeah I think so. So if it gets another season and that gets extended we get two more finales!

This was a much better episode than the last several but that's because it was a big payoff episode so that is to be expected.
I could have done without some of the stuff like the whole Ellie baby sentimentality and Casey's fall turned into a big nothing ultimately.
I caught the promo for next week and it looks like we are back to subpar episodes--the more I think about it the more I think they would have been better off ending the show here.

Best moment of the current episode.. Sarah saying yes in a superficially totally unromantic and (clinically) sterile ennvironment after the whole shebang about picking the most romantic spot on earth for the proposal.
It reinforces how utterly unimportant the place is when you really love somebody and i really enjoyed that moment.. on to Chuck and Sarah's wedding!
However.. if they don't return to form by the end of the season let Chuck have his peace and end it with the wedding. Don't flog the show to death past its prime to squeeze out the last cent possible.
