Tell your tales of my native Pennsylvania.

I went out into my Philadelphia City tonight, altered my state of consciousness, and had a sexy guy have me vigorously and vociferously. The night sky was low, the chill bracing, and we parted contentedly. Thank the vacant gods there exist still good times in my home state. Others been to the Pretty Keen Stoned State?

Um...this is weird.

But yes, my mom grew up in Pittsburgh, and her whole side of the family still lives there, so I have been there plenty of times.

I live in PA but I don't have anything particularly good or bad to say about it :p It's better than Florida, anyway!

I especially love the Centralia shout out :D

Haha, yeah, there's SO MUCH happening in Centralia. There are only like 12 people still living there. Most awesome pictures I've ever taken were in Centralia on a cool, damp October day.

That's pretty much how I remember it too. I'm shocked there are still people who live there.

This is suspiciously similiar to my maternal lineage. :shifty:

Most of my memories of PA involve sitting in the backseat of a car, driving from NJ to Pittsburgh and being really really bored, until they finally invented portable CD players at which point I was only mostly bored.

The tunnels were always the best part of the trip. I believe I used to pretend that they were wormholes

Never been to PA, though I would very much like to. I want to visit PNC Park and Citizens Bank Park, and have some authentic Philly cheesesteaks (both Geno's and Pat's).

If you think lines and higher prices make something authentic, Pats and Genos are perfect. Otherwise, Ricks, Tony Lukes, or a half dozen other places would work just as well.

^ Ok.

I think PNC Park is what I most look forward to in PA. The Pirates' total suckitude notwithstanding, it's supposed to be one of the best ballparks in the majors.

I always preferred to get my cheesteaks from little family-owned pizzerias, rather than the "name" places.

^ Don't know how a tourist like myself would be expected to know about the non-name places, but see, that's why I'm in this thread. ;)

Hmm...
