The Best Trek Doctor.

My favorite Trek doc was the EMH. I mean, not a lot of people agree, but I literally grew up watching Voyager.

He is one of my favorites too. I just don't think he has great bedside manner so I personally wouldn't want to see him and would rather choose McCoy or Bashir before him. But on a purely "he is fun to watch" basis the EMH is tops.

Ooh, were we supposed to pick based on who we'd want to have as our own personal doctor? Because I didn't do that, and I'm not sure I can, really. I'll have to think about it.

^I listed them too. If I had to choose just one though then that would be an easier task - McCoy (DeForest Kelley preferably than Karl Urban though but both are cool).

Of the 6 main Star Trek doctors which one do you think was the best as far as being a doctor goes.
I said 6 doctors so I will name them.
Dr. Leonard McCoy---Original Star Trek
Dr. Beverly Crusher---The Next Generation
Dr. Katherine (Kate) Pulaski---The Next Generation
Dr. Julian Subatoi Bashir---Deep Space 9
Hologram Doctor---Voyager
Dr. Phlox---Enterprise
I think my choice should be obvious, considering my avatar.
My choice for who I'd want as a family doctor is: BASHIR.

Gotta be the original, without whom the rest would have been outta work - the man, the myth, the legend - Bones McCoy!

It's The Doctor from voyager for me. He could entertain you with his incredible singing as well as treat your ailments. His medical knowledge surpasses all the other doctors listed (as far as I'm aware). They are all good though. I'm a fan of Bashir.

Bones

Pulaski (Bones and Pulaski would have made a great couple.)

Phlox (Phlox was a gem of a character in a doomed series. If anyone in power in Hollywood reads these boards in boredom, give John Billingsley more work!)

Dr. Piccardo (Voyager)

Bashir (from DS9, the best ST show)

Dr. Crusher. The actress was hot, but the character was so boring. Boring, boring, boring, boring. Damn she was boring. Yes, boring, Boring as fk. Boring. Boring. If it is a Beverly story, I move on. Why? She boring, boring, boring, boring and more boring. Please writers, make Beverly fuck Picard in the end. Why, because the sex would be boring, boring, incredibly boring, drool on my face boring, senior citizen sex boring, boring as C-Span on a Tiuesday f'ing afternoon boring.

Ooh, were we supposed to pick based on who we'd want to have as our own personal doctor? Because I didn't do that, and I'm not sure I can, really. I'll have to think about it.

We didn't have to pick according to that criteria, that was just the way I did it.

It's Bones. I just trust the guy.

The whole country doctor vibe I got from him, while endearing, would have left me going for second opinions.

Can I change my answer and saw I'd rather have Gregory House as my doctor. I bet he'd have been a cool Starfleet doctor. He wouldn't have any problem getting the captain for his physical cause if the captain refused one too many times, House would go up to the bridge and do the exam their.

Oh my this is a tough one. My top three are; Phlox, Bashir and The Doctor. However I don't know what order to put them in. Probably;

1) Phlox
2) Bashir
3) The Doctor
4) Crusher
5) McCoy
6) Pulaski

Although I like Bones more than Pulaski, I dislike both of them. I liked Bones in the films better than in the series.

If we are talking family Doctor, then probably Dr. Crusher because being female, I prefer a female doctor. But I think I'd feel comfortable with Dr. Bashir as well.
The best doctor is probably Dr. Bashir. Remember all those cool medical things he did on DS9, The Quickening for example.
All the doctors were great and except for EMH(sometimes) had great bedside manners.

They are all good doctors but McCoy is my favorite. The doctors in all the series were all awesome characters though.
