Probably. But who is that guy serving the drinks? One of Sybok's followers?

Not sure what the big deal is, they also had it in Star Trek 6 and said it was illegal and then its served at Riker's wedding in Nemisis (unfortunatly for Worf) almost 90 years later and its still illegal. So, the its seems like the illegality of Romulan Ale is treated as a joke and is not really enforced, sort of like lite pot use these days. lol

More like Cuban cigars. Everyone had them, but they were officially illegal.

Yes, I think this is EXACTLY the analogy for Romulan Ale. (he said as he drew a Cuban from his humidor)

How about the unintentionally hilarious lining up of the light fixture and the top of Shatner's head. I had to look twice to make sure it wasn't his baldness. :)

Romulan Ale was available at the Star Trek Experience in Las Vegas, by the glass in Quarks or as a take home 4 pack. Never tried it.

I recall it being sold in 4 packs but I appear to have been in error.

Although straight vodka with Blue Curaçao might get you the same effect as in the movies.
