That would certainly be a good aspect to a series. There'd have to be a lot of other missions going on as well, because you'd play out the various practical dramatic approaches to "lost colony" stories pretty quickly otherwise.

Nah, just put the Vulcans back on Vulcan and don't refer to what's gone before again. We're free of the previous straitjacket. Do you really want to start being fitted for a new one already?
Yeah, Spock didn't mind that the planet and 99.9999% of the people went bye-bye. Didn't matter to him in the least.
haters gotta hate and gushers love to gush!Seriously, explain it to me.
Why is this thread still active?
Nope, keep everything else the same, just don't mention why Vulcan is back.
Just tell a story and don't worry about continuity, canon, continuing storylines or any of that.
If Spock didn't care about Vulcan being destroyed and Amanda dying, why should I?
Seriously, explain it to me.

yeah, by a supernova. which will also destroy life in a radius of at least 10,000ly, otherwise it doesn't deserve the "super". federation, klingons, cardassians, all gone within the next few centuries. After Romulus was destroyed, Nero's hunting Spock whom he blames (along with the Federation) for the death of his world, wife and unborn child. He thinks it's all a Federation plot.
I don't know about that. I'm sure there's a story where Vulcan would be very cool.
My last working brain cell just vomited.Oh my God, they killed Vulcan! You bastards!!!
Goin' down to South Trek, gonna have myself a time...
Reset buttons everywhere, canonistas without documentation...
Seriously, explain it to me.

Boredom and closeness.

And Spock stopped it just after Romulus was destroyed, saving the rest of the galaxy. I can see why Nero might think that Federation-representative Spock delayed on purpose.
