Waste Vegetable Oil

Okay, say I had a local fast food joint where I could get used vegetable oil. Other than bio-diesel or burning the stuff, is there anything it can be used for? Also since it is vegetable based (as opposed to petroleum) is it an environmental sin if it gets poured on grass or something like that?

Was it you who said recently that you wanted to make soap?

Other uses:

You could filter it and distill it to remove impurities and produce recycled vegetable oil.

You could crack it and turn it into propane.

You could extract the glycerol and create antifreeze.

You could partially hydrogenate it and make fat balls for the birds.

You're practically sitting on a gold mine! ;)

Yes, I am going to make hand milled soap which involves taking a soap base, melting it down and adding stuff to it. No worries about the saponification process and other headaches.

Call the local strip clubs and see if they want it for oil wrestling nights.

And yes if you dump anything the suits will be down on you before you can sneeze...
