'Transformers 3' Casting, Rumors, Pics till release

Even if the second movie DIDN'T suck, I'd still have a hard time getting excited about this movie.

Just like with seeing dinosaurs on screen in the JP movies, the novelty of seeing giant robots on screen has completely worn off for me by this point. It just looks like more of the same.

It kind of pisses me off because it's a concept I also used for a homemade sci-fi universe I created based around the discovery of alien technology on the Moon in 1969. Now if I ever try to do anything with it, everyone's going to accuse me of stealing the idea from Transformers.

^ Can you change it to alien tech found somewhere else? Mars rover? Bottom of ocean?

What they trailer didn't show is that ancient robot waking up, talking like a gangsta rapper to the astronauts and trying to hump one of their legs. :p

Hence why it looks like the trailer for a quality film that we're never going to see. :angryrazz:

I've been against seeing this film then on the fence. I'm still on the fence but that was a really good trailer. So the Apollo 11 astronauts discover Nemesis crash landed on the dark side of the moon...

There's an interview I read where Michael Bay talks about shooting in 3D. The best thing about it? He mentions how you need to stay on a shot for at least a few seconds to get good 3D and that he had to change his shooting style to accommodate it. So hopefully this means no constant shaky and moving cam with quick cuts for two straight hours.

I remember reading an interview with Bay before production on TF3 even started where he was bitching and complaining that he would never film the third movie in 3D because his style of film making doesn't mesh with 3D...like most things it seems he has contradicted himself. I'm not a fan of his work but I am a TF fan so I will attempt to see this next summer. The next trailer will hopefully have TF and Carly footage. That will make my final decision if I see it in the theater or not. Another thing that has piqued my interest greatly is that it is confirmed that Peter David will be writing the novelization of "Dark of the Moon". Alan Dean Foster wrote the first two novelizations along with the "prequel" tie-ins I believe.

There must be some kind of portal that instantly takes you from where Apollo 11 landed to the far side of the Moon.

You know, like the portal that takes you from the back of the Udvar-Hazy Smithsonian annex to the Davis-Monthan AFB boneyard in the middle of the Arizona desert or the one that puts Petra, Jordan within easy walking distance of Giza, Egypt.

The trailer for 'Revenge of the Fallen' looked great, and that movie turned out to be a mound of congealed rhinoceros crap, so I'm definitely not going to hold out any hope for this one.

I have to chuckle at all the outrage over TF2. What could anyone have expected other than louder, bigger, dumber, and more juvenile? It's like everyone has selective memory when it comes to the nonsensical action and plot of TF1, as well as the raunchy act of Autobots urinating on people. C'mon folks, these movies are so over-the-top you can't possibly take them this seriously!

Personally, I'll be there to watch TF3 just as I was there to watch TF2. :techman:

Whatever juvenile elements the first Transformers had, the second one took them and turned it up to eleven. Plus, at least the first one seemed somewhat professionally made. The second one had the continuity of a kindergarten collage pasted together out of construction paper. It was Bayziness at its worst.

People were looking forward to seeing Devastator kick some ass, not Hoover in some sand and Blaxploitation bots before getting taken out in one shot after a cyber-scrotum joke.

Devastator was among the biggest cinematic let downs ever....also I think the TF they found in the ship could be Prima. It wasn't Shockwave, that's for sure.
