I know many of you are probably sick of hearing about the holidays by now, but Christmas is my birthday so you're just going to have to deal with another topic because I say so.
This topic is for you to post your favorite Christmas, Hanukkah, New Years, or other winter holiday songs. You can also post quirky holiday songs or holiday songs you hate (but you have to post ones you like too, so it doesn't become all negative).
If you happen to think 'Wonderful Christmas Time' is a worthy addition to the Paul McCartney canon, don't worry, we won't judge you. Only God can judge you for your sins. If you're an atheist who likes it, you will be bludgeoned about the head with lobsters by your peers, in the time-honored tradition of our people.
So, here's some of my favorites:
John Lennon - Happy Christmas (War is Over)
Not even the sound of the cat being strangled in the background (AKA Yoko) could ruin this song.
David Bowie & Bing Crosby - Little Drummer Boy/Peace on Earth
Sara Bareilles & Ingrid Michaelson - Winter Song
Mavis Staples - Christmas Vacation - National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation Soundtrack
Olivia Olson - All I Want for Christmas - Love Actually Soundtrack
A great song off a fantastic soundtrack from one of my favorite Christmas movies ever.
The Kinks - Father Christmas
Run-D.M.C. - Christmas in Hollis
"This is Christmas music."
On the weirder side of things:
Neil Diamond - The Chanukah Song
It's not weird that Neil Diamond would do a Hanukkah-themed song obviously, just that he would do the Adam Sandler Hanukkah song.
Billy Idol - Jingle Bell Rock
I know the first thing that pops into my head when I want to hear the Christmas standards sung normally is Billy Idol. He looks like the living embodiment of Splodenode's year-round Christmas avatar, which is nightmare fuel:
