New thread for a new season of figures. :)

So, to kick things right off, we finally have the release of a Classic Companion! Sure, we've had Sarah-Jane, but just as she is right now in the modern era. I'm talking, "old school" companions.

And who do we get to christen the line? Who do we get to open up the Classic Companion market? Do we get a "young" Sarah-Jane Smith? Do we get, possibly, a Romana I or II figure? Is it Susan, his granddaughter, or even ACE?

    Nope. It's Peri. :p

Maybe a coatless Colin would've made more sense (In the scene where he's under the illusion that he's in a desert).

Also I wonder when they do finally get to the Hartnell/Troughton era companions if they'll do black and white variants like they did with the Doctor/Daleks/Cybermen.

The only exciting thing about the Peri figure (beside the oboobvious :p - no coincedence that she is photographed side on) is that more classic companions may be around the corner. I will buy this one to satify the completist part of me and also to help ensure that more classic companions are made.

An underwhelming choice for the first classic companion but... it is a classic companion. Perhaps there will be more to come.

That's what, fifty bucks? For fricken PERI? I wouldn't even pay that for Ian and Barbara combined.

It should be cheaper with the exchange. For example, I've never seen Mike's charge more than $35 USD for two figure sets like the First/Dalek, Second/Cyberman, Third/Dalek, etc.

But yeah, these should be priced at $25-30 USD maximum in my opinion.

I wonder if we'll get a Trial box set at some point, with a better version of Colin from the season (With the longer hair) the Valeyard, maybe some Peri variant (Bald Peri?) and maybe a Vervoid or something.

Just want to interrupt the Peri discussion (only time I've seen her was in The Two Doctors) for a second to say that I've found that "All Doctor TARDIS Box"!

I may just get it, when I start makin' money again...

Well when you get it, be sure to send me the Eighth Doctor, won't you? He's the one I don't have, and I haven't been able to justify plunking down a hundred bucks just for one, and 10 duplicates.

Well, once you figure in S&H, the price could be anywhere between $42-48 USD, depending on where you get them from...

    Peri! That's awesome.

Also, think I'm right in saying the Varos costume is easy to repaint to get an Attack version if need be.

Yes, rumour is that there's a new FC Tardis set coming, with the 11th, Police outfit Amy and a revised Tardis with different windows and possibly... interior lights.

I really f-ing hate revisions. Why couldn't they do the Tardis right the first time? Because they know people will buy the first then buy the corrected release I guess. Double dipping is not cool.

^ Glad I didn't get the first edition then (I didn't like it enough anyway). Though with two figures along with it, I shudder to think how much it'll be. I'm assuming 11 would be the Raggedy Doctor variant, which I already have from the Crash set. Police Uniform Amy would be a nice addition though. :)
