I must admit that I'm going to have a hard time making myself watch any football today. We have three games to pick from, and all three should be pretty sound ass-kickings. Kinda disappointing.

Wow, I didn't realize the games had started.... this one is looking pretty good so far! I'm shocked. Pleased, but shocked.

i looked away before the last patriots touchdown, and i see that they kicked off from the lions 40? what happened? lots of penalties on the lions?

The Lions gave them a scare for 3 quarters, but I'm glad the Pats cam through.

The Lions have a horrid record, but they really play hard and are at least competitive. Suh is a beast, and Hill may have played himself into a starting position somewhere next year.

Suh looked beastly early on, looking like he was trying his best to drive Brady into thew ground. Too bad the rest of the defense didn't show up, especially Alphonso Smith who looked completely lost.

Yeah, Suh looked good, the offense didn't look too bad, the rest of the team wasn't there. I think cardboard cutouts would have done more to stop the Patriots than the actual players did.

Deion Branch made the defense look silly. He faked out that one guy at least three times on his big touchdown catch.

If I remember the sequence of events correctly, it was....

*After the TD, unsportsman-like conduct on Detroit, moving the kick up 15 years.

**After the extra point, there was
-Unsportsman-like conduct on Detroit, moving the kick up another 15 yards and....

-Another conduct penalty against Detroit, which would move the start of the drive back 15 yards and....

-A conduct penalty on New England, which was used to cancel out the penalty counting against the drive.

I may be wrong about the last two penalties, but the first two should be accurate.

I reiterate--Roy Williams should be carry Dez's pads, his smelly socks, and anything else Dez asks. I can't believe Kitna throwing those balls behind Dez. Not even remotely catchable. Dammit, Dallas had that game won. :scream: :scream: I wouldn't want to be Williams in that locker room right about now.

I love how aggresive NO is on offense. It doesn't matter what the down-and-yards are, they are always taking shots down the field. They are always going for the kill, which is made more impressive by the fact that it usually works out for them.

I gotta imagine Marvin Lewis will get canned after the season. The Bengals have shown just enough promise some years to make you think they are a player or two away from really contending, and then never lived up to it.

They played so sloppily and uninspired in the second half tonight, you wonder if he has lost the team.

I wonder if Palmer will go too. He's shown flashes at times, but never took the next step to being an elite QB.

The NFL was probably fired up that two of the top teams and the reigning champs were on today...but less than thrilled that they played 3 of the league's worst.

The first game was competitive for 3 quarter, the middle game was exciting down to the wire, but that night game was a total clunker unless you're a Jets fan.
