Amusing Twitterbots.

If you've been on Twitter for a while, chances are you've noticed silly Twitter "bot" accounts that reply to you if you use certain terms.

For example, if you mention "Robocop" on Twitter, you'll get a reply from Bixby Snyder (@for_a_dollar) and OCP Chairman (@OCP_Chairman). I laughed like an idiot when I got a reply from the latter saying, "Old Detroit has a cancer. That cancer is crime."

I've also noticed that mentions of The Legend of Zelda will get you a reply from @AnnoyingNavi.

So if you're a Twitter user, what Twitterbots have you noticed, if any?

My favorite account has apparently been suspended.

Used to be, if you said "roads" then Doc Brown would reply to you with "Roads? Where we're going we don't need roads!"

Last I saw it was posting about once per second and that was a year ago when Twitter was much smaller. I'm assuming it got out of hand shortly thereafter.

So the moral of the story is: Program your bot to recognize a phrase, not a single noun.
