Team CoCo news...

I loved on last nights show when he started to do his nerd on twitter voice and then pauses and says "why did I do that, those people saved my ass" and "talk about biting the hand that feeds you" lines.

Yep. Last night was for all of them. Tonight was for the rest of us.
You know, you can tell Conan's a pro at this, because the show is already coming together rapidly.

I don't know, I enjoyed last night's show. I mean, Seth is a tough interview to listen to always because the guy just can't stop laughing. But I liked the cold open, the interview with the glee girl and the performance and interview with jack white.

I'm waiting for the 1am rebroadcast tonight because I got home late from work to catch the 11pm showing for tonight.

Oh, I did too, but I don't Twitter, I don't get involved in stuff like that, but I am very much a part of Team CoCo. I've watched Conan since he first premiered in 1993 and have been a lifelong fan. Last night's show was for everyone who pushed the campaign. Tonight's show was for us. :D

I can't think of the last time I heard of Soundgarden making a TV show appearance.

Also, after watching the show last night and Lopez tonight I have to say... I'm looking forward toward this new TBS show "glory daze", it looks funny as hell.

Yeah, I like Soundgarden and all, and I was excited to see them on TV, but man, that performance sucked, I thought. Was that even Chris Cornell? Didn't really sound like or look like him, which made me think they got a lookalike. His Mic level seemed to be really low as it almost sounded like it wasn't even on.

Coco and Andy were more in their element tonight than last night. They are getting into the groove.

The bit with the censor guy was great... but that Taiwanese mockup of Conan was batshit-insane. Did anyone take a close look in the hands of the Conan fans? ;) The bear crying. Just... wow. I'd love to see Conan visit Taiwan to found out WTF is up!

The censor guy bit was great. I always love when Hanks comes onto the show because he always watches the show from the green room and finds something from the first segment comedy bits to reference in his interview segment... the grandma applebees reference.

I think that that taiwanese news bit was referencing the potential legal battle over the bear, but it was odd as fuck.

Tom Hanks should just be a full time second sidekick in addition to Andy.

Ok... They probably can't afford that. But he's always great on the Cone Zone.

Much better effort than the first episode, I hope some of those huge ratings stuck around for it.

Yeah that was Chris Cornell. He looks kind of goofy with the long hair... but that voice is unmistakable...

The show's great. It's far more suited to his talents than the Tonight Show. And Andy's back on the couch where he belongs! Just like old times...

Oh, I know all about the long hair as that's what he had during the Soundgarden days, but he's had short hair for awhile now, so I wonder if that was a wig. And I didn't really hear his distinctive voice in this. As I said, the mic level was fairly low.

Nobody misses Max? I miss Max.

Nice to see Soundgarden. Didn't know they got back together. Not much of a song though. Mostly the same guitar riff over and over again with Chris Cornell wailing something.

And I like Seth Rogen. He's a great guest.

He takes monorails very seriously.

So was Takei the original choice over... what was it, Nimoy in that episode? Or did they want both?

I didn't have issues with Cornell's mic level, could hear him just fine. Maybe it was different between Dolby Digital sound and regular.

As for Max... I guess I'll miss his perv schtick, but in general he was gone half the time anyway, so what does it matter?

I think I'd heard the story before... yes he did want Takei first, then went after Nimoy expecting him to say no.

I'm liking the show so far. It's going to take a while to get into a groove, but I feel like TBS is willing to give him that time. But, you can already tell his humor has more of an edge than it did on The Tonight Show. That's always good and is really the trademark for Conan.

Although, I still say the Golden Age of Conan was during the Writer's Strike. That allowed him to take his Off Beat Humor to the Nth Degree with things like the glider and the ring spinning and that one show where he sent the random audience member to the snack machine to buy snacks for everyone in the studio.

The ratings for the second episode were pretty impressive: 2.8 million viewers, only down 33% from the first episode. Click here for more.
