Smallville: 10x07 "Ambush" - Discussion and Spoilers

I have to disagree. With the exception of the premier ep, which was only slightly above average, this season has been substandard. The writing has been all over the place and there seems to be absolutely no direction. Someone pointed out, it may have been Jetfire, that they're doing things that should've been done four or five seasons ago.

Tonight is what, the sixth ep, I think? And are we really ANY closer to see him becoming Superman?

Just my .02 worth, but I truly feel this is one of the least memorable seasons (thus far).

Michael Ironside already makes this episode awesome.

 

Who is he to come there and order Clark around in his own house like that, he can't do that, he can't take over his house

 

Good to see MI again, but he looks like he's put on a bit of weight since Terminator: Salvation.


Ah, there we go, he's an advisor.

 

I didn't even remember him from before but I have to agree.

 

I just keep seeing a Fascist future secondary-school teacher in him.

 

Ironside's great, I've liked him since the original V.

 

I don't remember him from before either, checking IMDB last time he was on Smallville was for two episodes six seasons ago.

 

The General appeared in Season 4.

 

"Oliver, you have lupus."

 

Now if they could just get Kurtwood Smith in this episode...

 

I love it when they actually share information with each other, rather than keeping everything secret

 

The General seems to grunt a lot.

 

You mean Clark and Lo?

 

So predictable

 

That's just the power of MI.

"Lois I need to go chop some wood!"

"Clark, should you really do that when my dad is here?! Ew!"

"What?! No! I've got a secret meeting!"

And, really, Clark enough with saving people/stopping disasters while also causing property damage.

 

Oliver and Tess

 

"He's hiding something. I'm going to get to the bottom of why he didn't go upstairs."
"Excuse me, General?"
"Um, never mind, and make it snappy."

 

I love the fake excuses, classic Superman for running off to save the day

"Lois I need to go chop some wood"
