So there's already talk of Impeaching Obama. Is that what the deal is now. Every time there's a Democrat in office, they try to Impeach him/her?

Where have you been? There have been crack pots calling for impeachment since before he took office. Same kind that called for it on Bush. Unless they have a real and strong impeachable offense, they shouldn't and likely won't do anything.

It would have to be proven that the war wasn't a fait accompli by the time it got to Bush's desk. If, as I suspect, the problem was with the intelligence (or lack thereof on the ground), and the mid-level analysts, then by the time anything reached his desk then the information he would've received would've looked damning against Iraq.

When are people going to blame the real person responsible for the Iraq war? Saddam Hussein is the only one at fault.

The other possibility is certainly that Saddam intentionally shipped off the WMDs. Burning the US' reputation for generations when faced with an inevitable defeat would not be beyond the mindset of one who is from a place where you don't have to be fixated on the next election cycle (a bad reason for a longer-term mindset, but there you go). I don't think we'll be able to tell which one it is, most likely, with available evidence.

I'll start. I live in Maryland.... I live in a comunity full of old people, they always vote Republican so it doesn't surprise me. Fucking old people I hope California legalizes Marijuana.

I'm in California and generally happy with the results. Voted Democrat for every office except Sec. of State (voted Green there but I figured the Democratic candidate was going to win it). I'm quite pleased that Whitman and Fiorina lost, and that the great sham that was Proposition 23 (legislation to put CA's global warming measures on hold until the unemployment rate drops below 5.5% - in other words, indefinitely) utterly and completely failed.

I'm not so happy that Prop. 19 (Marijuana legalization) failed, though it definitely was an imperfect measure. The thing that really pissed me off is that CA voters didn't pass Proposition 21, the $18 annual vehicle license fee to support the CA State Park system. Hope that extra half tank of gas gets you people somewhere nice, but if things keep going the way they are it probably wont be a state park.

Yeah you and me see eye to eye when it comes to the propositions on the ballot here in California. I was immensely pleased that Prop. 23 failed overwhelmingly. I also agree with you on Prop. 21. That was a shame that that one failed. I love going to State Parks, and it's a shame that they probably won't be able to stay open for very long, considering the budget crunch CA's in.

Impeachment requires the President to committ a crime, any crime to be impeached. A mistamener or any high crime. If he jaywalks, he can be impeached. Now it would have to hold up, but just to put him through the process could hurt him. It could back fire too, they could put him on trial for something ridiculous and the people see that and vote the Republicans out.

60 and up. Most of the people in my community are 60 and up. They vote Republican without even a second thought. Straight down party lines, it disgusts me. Put a little thought into your vote for Christ's sake.

And if a person thinks, and they still don't like your views, then what? Are they automatically stupid? How do you know that the reason for their dislike isn't because of a well-reasoned argument? Or is "agrees with me" your definition of "well-reasoned," with all else falling outside it? I would put that challenge to any of us here, regardless of party affiliation or lack thereof.

I don't know about that. I think he had WMD, but much of it was destroyed during the Gulf war. The rest became worthless due to neglect. I think he was bluffing. Imagine what would have happened had he proved to the UN that he had disarmed. It would only be a matter of time before his internal and or external enemies killed him.

On the Iraq topic: people really love to supplant mistakes with evil conspiracies because its more fun. If you want to know the truth, Hussein wanted to bluff Iran into thinking he still had WMD. He was more worried about them than about the US, which didn't work out well for him.

And on elections, I live in California. I didn't vote because its a total waste of time. Everything went exactly the way I said it would. Brown, Boxer, No on 19, No on 23. I'm completely apathetic about all of them but 19, which I was against. I don't want any kinds of drugs legalized.

So for the most part I'm totally 'meh' about the results. I am interested in Alaska though, Murkowski's write-in campaign was impressive. It took a lot of audacity to do that.

According to the book Fiasco: The American Military Adventure In Iraq, most of Iraq's weapons were destroyed not just during the Gulf War, but during all the air strikes during the Clinton Administration, like the Desert Fox strikes, for example. Of course, that wasn't found out until after we had already invaded Iraq.

Well I understand about not caring about the 2 major party candidates, and knowing the outcome. But I don't believe I should complain about it if I don't participate.
I used to agree with people who say 3rd party is a wasted vote. I did not want to hold my nose in 2008 and vote for McLame(McCain), but I did. I swore I would never do that again. Even if it means the candidate I like the least wins, I will vote my conscious. The enemy of my enemy is not my friend if they're also my enemy.
