I'd miss the Patriots, too. He went from one of the best teams in the league to one of the most disappointing.

I was very surprised when I heard the Packers beat the Jets. Thank you, Green Bay!

Going from Belichick to Childress is such a stunning drop in leadership skills and competence, that I have little issue with him bitching about it :)

It is nice to see the Vikings circling the drain for sure.

Are they finally going to acknowledge that Favre's body has given out? Starting him with 2 ankle fractures? Were they fucking kidding with that shit?

I heard his postgame comments, dude's melting down, I was aghast at the time when they traded him, but it's starting to look like a good move.

Plus, he made fun of Brady's hair. Don't mess with The Brady.

I mean, risky is nice, Haley, but there's risky and then there's stupid.

Yeah Haley is definitely crossing over the line from aggressive and risky to plain old stupid. I'm been a proponent of going for it on 4th down for years, and I'm glad to see him do it. SOMEtimes. That early in the game, you gotta take the points Haley. You damn near cost them the game.

That I can forgive him for. Brady looks ridiculous with that hair. It's not the 70s and you're not a teenage hippie. It's not flattering on you at all. Cut your hair, Brady. You look like a fool.

This I agree with wholeheartedly. He does indeed look like a girl with that baby face of his.

And then I remember he's married to Giselle, has a kid with Bridget Monyhan, and I figure I need to just shut my mouth.

Supposedly, it's Giselle who likes that look, and since she kind of wears the pants in the family, I guess he complies. :)

Generally, talking about another mans hair gives me awkward vibes, so I'll end it there, other than to say, I hate it...

There's a report floating out there that the Vikings have waived Randy Moss.

Wow.

Wow.

NFL Network is confirming the story, and ESPN has picked it up. Jesus. Keep in mind that the "waiver wire" only applies to players with four or fewer years of league service time. Moss is officially a free agent.

If this is all part of Bill Belichick's master plan to get more draft picks without actually losing a player, I may laugh until I die.

that WOULD be hilarious. On the other hand, not 100% I'd want Moss back right now. He'd likely play nice, now that he's seen how green the grass is on the other side of the fence, but I LIKE that the offense is more unpredictable now without Brady trying to force the ball to Moss. They've gone back towards the 2001 mantra of Brady's favorite receiver being the open one. Plus we've gotten more action of the TEs, I've liked what I've seen from Tate so far, etc.

Picking Moss back up for nothing would probably be a no-brainer, but I wouldn't be upset if they passed, either. the Pats don't have that deep threat anymore, but they've started going to a lot of other options, making them more dangerous...

St. Louis or Kansas City would be interesting landing points for Moss at this point.

The Rams could clearly use a little help for their rookie QB, and play in a dome. A little more offense, and they'd be pretty good right now.

The Chiefs could definitely use more offense, and they've got half of the Patriots' roster playing there or coaching, so Moss would fit right in. With Cassel as the QB, it's a QB and system he should be familiar with, so seems like an easy call there, as well...

Stolen from ESPN.com comments on the news article:

"Brett Favre got hit so hard Randy Moss wants to quit too."

:guffaw:

Wasn't the fourth and short within FG-range in the second quarter when they were up by a touchdown? And considering their offense wasn't doing jack shit all afternoon long (only having a TD going into the half is just sad) Why not go for the sure thing and be up by two scores? Instead you risk not scoering at all and turning it over on downs? That's just dumb!

Going for it on 4th, yeah, is great but Haley's doing it so much any "novelty" of it is vanishing, especially when he does it in a a situation when scoring is a sure-thing! Going to the air on 3rd and Inches too is just retarded. Run it up the middle! Give it to Charles and just let him do his thing! Sheesh.

The Cheifs did not win this game. I know it goes into the "Win" column but they didn't win it. They got lucky. Either that or the Bills were just very unlucky. That FG Haley didn't go for should have cost them the game. The second FG Att in OT by Buffalo should have lost them the game. No. The Chiefs just got lucky by sucking slightly less.

Yesterday was not the team I was rooting for just a couple weeks ago before they went onto the road. We've got a fairly good record in Oakland, but based on how the Chiefs did yesterday it's not looking good. Haley needs to tone his ego down a little bit and play it more straight.

This is the NFL, Haley. Not your Super Nintendo, stop being stupid.

God forgive me, but the Rams sure could use a receiver right about now....
