They should have sent half the crew home before the power got reversed and had 1 crew member get "cut in half" by the gate, messily.....

That is drama.

That's what I wanted. That alien dude they had escaped and they missed shooting it when it was about 3 feet away. I think it was Greer. I think hitting a 3/4 man sized target at 3 feet should be pretty easy.

thought this episode was pretty good. like the rest of you, i'm about positive that we haven't seen the last of LDP. just don't understand why they feel the need to end every episode with a song.

Camille's really getting on my nerves. Someone needs to slap the silly bitch.

I want to slap most of the cast.

Well, I thought we'd start with her.

Can we line up, Airplane style?

Well 4 stars just for not finding a replacement shuttle, or any other kind of supplies. And the creepy ending scene for Telford. I'm sick of Rush scampering away to the secret lair, talking to head Gloria/ship AI. Can't wait for that to come to an end.

I don't think that is the last we will see of Telford or the Spitting Aliens again.
He has at least two more episodes coming up - Oct 26th ("Cloverdale") and Jan 1 ("Seizure," the Atlantis crossover episode featuring Hewlett & Picardo). LDP stated in at least one interview that he will be "much more present" this season.

"My new healing power also keeps my legs shaved, neat-o."
She has some great legs though
So, so true.

Hey, I watched Voyager, shouldn't the Lucians be integrated with the crew by now?
No, they're at least not that bad at writing.

Well, I missed the first 19 minutes, but overall this was a pretty decent effort. The music montage at the end really messed up the mood though. The aliens were good looking, but they really didn't do shit.

That Maquis cell did not draw Federation blood, or at least none by direct action on Voyager

The episode was OK, but really....no one has figured out that Rush is doing these things when he magically "disappears?" Really?

It's hard to inspired by or even care about characters when none of them seem particularly bright.

And ENOUGH with the pop-videos at the end. If I see one more musical montage, I think I'll barf.

this ep was meh[average] to me, the pacing was so slow... and we finally see a Seeder Ship!!! and nothing interesting happened with it. The show just seems so underwhelming somber for me there is no spark here. The only bright spot is LDP, i actually like is character now that he isnt a brainwashered a-hole, but alas he is gone...for now.

I gave this episode an *8*... Very interesting stuff.

Only drawbacks:
- Music montage at the end again - make it stop
- Slow pace at the beginning, but it improved

Things I liked:
- The aliens (probably scientist just as our crew, saw an opportunity to get power from Destiny to 'their' ship), nice alien-ness for Stargate.
- Telford (and I'm not usually a fan of his character)
- Telford's confrontation with Young
- Rush's blase expression at finding the stargates :D

Telford lives! ;) - It would be cool to see a Telford-centered episode of just him dealing with the aliens.

Its starting to pick up a little overall. But man, please stop those sappy musical montages before I gouge my ears out with an ice pic.
Now that they have introduced a somewhat interesting alien again I cant wait to see how they forget all about them.

I reckon Rush is going to use the conversation he overheard between Telford and Young against Young. Authority challenged, the challenge disappears. And he's going to reveal what really happened on the planet. I think he's just biding his time, but Young's position will be untenable by the end of the series.

Might be mitigated when the bridge is exposed especially if linked with Telford's fate. Young isn't someone to mess with lightly.

Man they are setting Young up for a complete fall. That look wha's-his-name gave Young when he handed him the canteen of alcohol said a lot. Something tells me he is going to be letting someone else know that little detail in the near future. Young is tearing himself apart.

Shocked LDP got left on the ship but I doubt this is the last for him. He has been featured in the first three eps, I guarantee he is back by midseason.

Not as interested in the Chloe B-story as the TJ-Lucian story. I really hope they make a brave decision and not use this as a get-control-of the ship by using the doctor's sympathy ploy. I would love to see the Lucian leader and TJ hook up.

This episode was OK but the show lacks energy and the pacing is slow. I don't know if it's just me, but at times the camera moves around so much that I find it distracting and have a hard time watching the television screen. How difficult is it to hold the camera still?

Well, i think this is probably the first episode that felt like it was fulfilling SGUs purpose. Great Ep.

I gave it a 8 , Just wish they would stop with the music at the end of each show.
I think the aliens might not be evil bad guys , because they only begun to stun people after Destiny started draining their power.
Also they let them leave the ship and lets not forget from their point of view there was a bunch of people with guns taking one of their own on to Destiny.
I can not wait for Rush to get found out, somehow I don't think Young will be the only one after his head.

I think it was fairly clear that the turtle aliens (don't they look like shell-less sea turtles?) were pretty peaceful. They shot the guys with a stun setting, they didn't eat anybody, and they seemed more interested in dodging around Greer than shooting back. Honestly, they looked pretty tired and hungry, if the fainting turtle was any indication. My guess is that they will all crowd around Telford and give him a big turtle hug.

Telford will be back. This was the first episode where I really started to like him (at all). He handled Young very diplomatically (particularly the gentle prodding he gave him with the 'coach' dialogue). Telford showed utility with his ability to run the Ancient systems fairly well, also. They need, IMO, less of the 'wrong people' motif and a little more of the 'right people' on this show, and Telford is one of the right ones. I'm surprised, because I really thought they'd destroyed his character with his wife-boinking brainwashed hijinks.

I'm bored with those Lucian Alliance extras from the Hercules/Xena sets, and their black leather (oooooooooh! They're wearing black leather! They must be badass!) costumes. My eyes couldn't roll out of my head any harder.

TJ is boring me now that there's nothing going on with Young. I'm also annoyed that nobody is really mentioning Chloe's shot-through leg that healed itself instantly (her half-hearted, "it's all healed" comment hardly counts). That should be major fodder for gossip on the ship.

Once again, Wray has nothing to do except bitch and moan. I swear, Ford had more to do on Atlantis than Wray does. Greer and Eli continue to be under-utilized, particularly Eli. Three episodes after Eli essentially tells Chloe that - 'you know' - and they haven't even had a followup conversation. Maybe that's telling. He's pissed off that the instant she doesn't need him to lug her skinny ass around the ship, she's right back to boning Scott. Good for him. Hook Eli up with female computer tech from the control room or something. Anyone else. Good grief.

Oh yeah, I totally forgot Scott until just now. How telling that is.

That alien dude they had escaped and they missed shooting it when it was about 3 feet away. I think it was Greer. I think hitting a 3/4 man sized target at 3 feet should be pretty easy.

I suspect Greer hesitated because the alien hadn't been hostile to that point.

Really interested to see what they do with Telford. I'm hoping for something other than the standard "and the aliens programmed him to kill!" crap.

Started really slow. Picked up a bit. The aliens were pretty cool. Stupid montage. They really don't seem to have enough material to fill out an episode as SGU really seems to drag. Still, when it didn't drag it was more interesting than usual so I gave it a 7.

Oh, and poor Knepper so far has only been used for TJ (or is it CJ?) to show that 'she can handle herself', give the poor guy something to do!

I'm still not convinced that this show will be consistently decent though.
