Good.

Kara & Clark stuff was good.
Wouldn't mind spending some time at Desaad's :rommie:
I am Green Arrow!
Kinda liked Lois in the Blonde wig. ;)

Next week looks great! :bolian:

I voted 'The Blur' (no, not Jetfire!)

Truthfully, after all the hype, I found this episode to be a bit underwhelming. I liked it enough, but I guess I had hoped for more.

Clark trying to fly, then plummeting to the barn was priceless though.

I was kinda underwhelmed as well...this might play better rewatching on DVD a year from now...but it didn't live up to all the hype...I have a feeling S10 as a whole will be like this. :borg:

[Note To Trekker] It should be...
Superman(Excellent)
The Blur(Good)
Clark Kent(Average)
Kal El(Bad)
Bizarro(Terrible)

I'm wondering if we'll see Kara again before the season's over. I suspect that we well, as it seemed that the end left the door open for her to return to fight 'The Darkness'.

I saw more sloppy writing here...on the shear entertainment value it was good but I hate the fact they don't do a better job writing these eps.

I think so, I suspect that she'll first confront Darkseid but will ultimately fail before Clark comes in.

It was written by Ann Cofell Saunders but I am sure many hands were stirring the pot.

Argh. I missed the episode. I just got a job Canvassing for the democratic party for 12 bucks an hour.

Sooo tired walking

I agree it didn't live up to the hype but I liked it.

-Nice to see the return of Kara as Supergirl
-Nice to see Clark fly for a even a short time
-Didn't expect the Green Arrow reveal
-Lois wasn't that bad and was actually effectively pro-active at times.

Clark's whining, jealousy, and bitching along with the Darkseid nonsene (not to mention another ten-second fight) didn't help things.

I wonder if Kara is going to pop up again. It seems open to that but then again, she should have been seen last season when Clark fought the Kandorians but that never happened.

Clark and Kara ended on another tense note. Their relationship always seems to be about tension.

The whole thing of him not being able to fly is beyond being a bad joke...this needs to happen sooner rather than later...I expect him not to put on the \S/uit till the end...but he should have and already be flying it is ridiculous. :bolian:

[edit] I though Desaad was going to be in this???

Just finished the episode and you guys gotta give me props...Clark will fly once he realizes he will make mistakes and his self-doubt and constant judgment stops. The fact that Darkseid is feeding on these emotions only reinforces my point. Not flying is Clark's head. Once he is able to forgive himself and move on he'll fly, this probably won't happen until the second half of the season.

It was great seeing Laura back but to be honest I was underwhelmed and I agree with Jet that this was a weakly written episode. I enjoyed the first two episodes a lot more than I did this and voted my first "Blur". I'm now convinced they're doing a Smalville version of Final Crisis and that Godfrey mentioning that he wants to be everywhere on the planet and touch people's souls is just the start to mentioning the Anti-Life Equation. Also Club Desaad seems like the Smallville version of Club Dark Side.

As for the final battle against Darkseid...as bad and short as the fight with Doomsday was, this is the final season and they've proven they're pulling out all the stops so I would say that we will get at least a full episode, at the very least half an episode.

My prediction is that Ollie is going to get possessed by someone later in the season, he kicked off the self-doubt character arc.

Lois annoyed the hell out of me this episode again. I really can't stand how they're writing Lois...I feel bad for Erica. Next weekend though BRAINY!!!

^
Lois was annoying at times and I have hated the way the character has be written for 2 seasons now...but she(ED) stole the show...which sucks because I feel they made Kara coming back a little pointless. I am still wondering if we will see Desaad later on played by Steve Byers.
