It was basically a mashup of Fantastic Four and The Incredibles, that added nothing fresh or inventive to either concept.
It's kind of funny how a show that tries something a little bit risky like The Event gets uniformly panned here, whereas a show like this that doesn't attempt to do anything the slightest bit original gets a free pass.
I wasn't impressed. I'm tired of the whole superheroes schtick and this seemed like a cross between HEROES and a lightweight "feel good" Disney flick. There doesn't seem to be anything new here to offer that I haven't seen a dozen times before.
I definitely won't be watching it.
