Plan B to get those Stargate movies made

The gist: In spite of the demise of the direct-to-DVD market and MGM’s own financial strife, don’t count the Stargate movies out yet.

Has much as I would like a SGA film made I just don't see it happening, your thoughts?

I was more interested in the SG-1 film despite the lack of Vala. I too don't think we'll be seeing either of the films now.

When they talk about the direct-to-DVD market imploding, where do they get that metric? The DC animated DTD movies seem to be doing quite well.

I guess "The Plan" did not do nearly as well as hoped?

That might have been due to BSG fatigue and the fact that it really didn't add all that much to franchise.

Anyway, if MGM feels like really being cheap, I guess they could hire an anime studio to make the SG-1 and SGA movies and bring in the actors to do the voices. Joe Mallozi would love that

well animated movies might be the way yo go, they are cheaper and the animated dvd market is red hot because of WBs movies
