I wear mine on the outside. I like my watch because no one can look at it and see what time it is unless I want to show it to them.

^^^ That is an awesome watch. And it sucks that you can't get watches like that are wind-up. :( Actually you can't find a wind-up at all anymore.

I'm right-handed and I wear my watch on my left hand, facing outward. I've never before thought that wristwatches could be worn on the inside of the wrist.

Left wrist, facing outward, right-handed. This notion that (most) women wear a watch on their right wrist is bizarre to me. :vulcan:

I have a "good" watch (Seiko analogue), three other, non-working "good" watches (I baulked at forking out nearly $100 to get the older one repaired, and the newer ones would probably have been similar), and a number of "work" watches, only two of which still work - one analogue, one digital. Fiddling about for my mobile (which I hardly ever carry anyway) to find out the time seems pointless to me - glancing at a watch seems much easier - but to each their own. :bolian:

I finally found it. It had been missing for a while, but I came across it while moving some boxes in the garage. I need to replace the battery, but I got this watch about 10 years ago:

The little Constitution ship is the second hand, and when you press the button in the corner, it plays the TOS theme. :D

:D

^ I was tickled to find it. As it turns out, I have to replace 3 batteries, not one, so eek! They're Maxell SR626SW low drain button cells, and I believe Duracell/Energizer 377s will replace them. I'm cleaning it up and getting it ready for Chicago next month. :D

I remember seeing a watch that had no numbers and no hands. All the face had was the brand logo "GUESS?"

I almost bought it but it was pretty useless as anything but a joke.

I actually wear my watches both ways. I'll start off with one facing inward and then turn it outward. Sometimes it depends on what I'm doing at the moment (something that might involve moving equipment around that could damage the watch), sometimes it depends on what looks better outward--the watchface or the band.

My favorite watch was a silver one with a cool secret agent-like speaker grille that bonged and spoke in a cheerful young woman's voice to announce the current time whenever I pressed a button. When it started sounding like a drunk old man, I knew the battery was dying...

I have a Mickey Mouse watch (not the classic, a quartz thing, made in China of course; even if I actually bought it in Disneyworld!)
I only wear it for 'dress' (and then only when I actually NEED to know the time: as in when the earliest time I can leave the function is) though; I cannot have "things" touching me... no jewellery or how-to-wash-tags or watches... I'd fidget Incessably! (strange thing though, I don't mind sock garters!)

Usually facing out. But I rarely wear one any more, except when I'm going someplace where I can't take my phone.

Oh my, I have the same exact watch! A friend gave it to me as a present, and it was awesomely geeky! :techman:

Normally, I don't use a watch: I have an extremely keen sense of time (give or take a few minutes), so I don't need to check the time more than, say, a couple of times a day, in which case I just take out my cell phone. Also, I don't like having anything on my forearms: even long sleeves as a nuisance some days.

I have however a couple of watches that I use sometimes for sentimental reasons: I'll see if I can find a picture of them.

Yeah, this will be the first time I've worn it in a decade. If you can get a good look at the pic, you might be able to see the tarnish all over it. I'm currently trying to think of a safe way to get all of it off.

Awesome. :D
See, I wear a watch because my cell phone stays in my pocket, and it's much easier just to glance at the watch.
