Uhura and her looks !!!!

Ok I've been watching TOS again and I noticed that uhura through her first season had some different hair styles. ? So how many did she have has anyone counted ?

In one episode yesterday is tomorrow she has a funny up at the sides look.

I never really found Uhura to be particularly attractive for some reason. Oddly, if I were to pick out the Trek women who I regard as most appealing, Uhura probably wouldn't even be in the top five, even though she is obviously attractive. *shrug* I liked her character, but I never felt the instinct to drool kick in.

Nichelle wore a variety of wigs. Only in TMP did she use her real hair. I always thought she was incredibly beautiful though. Not sure that nothing but feathers was a great look though.

The thing with Uhura is that she's what my grandmother would look like if she were in her 30's and black. Both woman have basically the same facial bone structure and very similarly shaped noses. So it's weird for me to think of Uhura like that...

And Grace Lee Whitney reminds me of my mom. So it's all about the guest stars as far as I'm concerned.

Honestly, and I know its a heresy, but the uniform doesn't fit her well. It looks cute on model-skinny babes but on her it always looks awkward and ill-fitting to my eye, more's the pity.

I don't mind the Uhurii (yes, 'Uhura' plural since there were two) from the Phase II series...as well as Zoe Saldana...(Although, as hot as Zoe is, she could still use some more meat on those bones)...

Indeed, Uhura gets hotter with each incarnation.

(I swear I was looking at each attractive black chick after I came out of 'Star Trek,' asking deep questions, 'Hmmm, how would they look in a red duty skirt and go-go boots....or an Academy one-piece and go-go boots...')

Picture #2 isn't very accurate. It appears to be stretched horizontally a bit. I always thought she looked good in her uniform. But i like this one better:

Anyway, on topic, I think Uhura is quite beautiful and I especially liked her 3rd season hair styles. Scotty's hair was also better in the 3rd season, IMO. And, of course, she was gorgeous in "Mirror, Mirror" .
