Don't get me wrong, if Tal had just waited another, oh, fifteen minutes or so, I think a certain Starfleet uniform and floral print gown would've been strung across the furniture with Spock and the unnamed commander engaging in some unique forms of Vulcan/Romulan diplomatic maneuvers, but what we got here is coitus interruptus in extremus.

As for the question of "did they or didn't they?", for God's sake, look at the freaking episode! When the hell did they have any time to actually do anything?

That's assuming the episode takes place in "real time". I'll bet there was plenty of time for them to fool around while Kirk was having his plastic surgery, which in the episode seems to take place in less than 2 minutes.

I wondered whatever happened to the female commander. It's too bad the Romulans never featured much as in the TOS movies as the Klingons did.

I was a little disappointed that they invented a new Klingon to be the High General in TUC instead of making it Kor.

She would have been a great storyline/character for one of the movies or maybe even in that episode unification. It would have been fascinating to see Kang or Kor in that role or at least a very big part in Undiscovered Country.

For my Eastern European ears it sounds like a Czech surname, and male at that (female would be Charvankova).
