You might be right, but I'm pretty sure when the governor was talking about his career, it was the other way around. I watched the pilot, and while I like the show, I'm glad they got their "Chinese" episode out of the way. Hopefully they got that out of their system and never do it again.
The problem with your theory is that I know how to use my strengths, use the physics and the leverage, hit the vulnerable points, and I can use Grace Park for a dumbell to do curls. A 98 lbs woman can carry a lot of power behind her punches, a man twice her size can carry a lot more. When I see Grace Park win the heavyweight UFC I'll take your statement seriously. As it stands, watching her fight is as realistic as watching someone shoot a phaser. There's nothing wrong with it but don't try to tell me I'm not suspending my disbelief.Oh yeah, another scrawny chick to kick the ass of bad guys.

Just because she's "scrawny" doesn't mean she can't defend herself or fight-off attackers. Fiancée of a friend of mine is no bigger than Ms. Park, in fact she's probably smaller, and she's a correctional officer in a men's prison and even is working to get into the FBI and she's more than capable of defending herself and passes all of her self-defense/training classes.
Knowing how to attack, where to attack, knowing how to use your strengths and overpower your opponent is more important than bulk. A kick to the chest, the junk, or the head by a woman Ms. Park's size, in hard shoes or boots is going to put any many down, or at the very least hurt and give him pause. A bigger woman, sure, physics tells it'd hurt more, but 98-lb woman still can carry a lot of power behind her punches and kicks.

What's "Chinese episode" suppose to mean. 5-0 was always like a state based FBI who played the anti espionage role as well as law enforcement. The main villain and special nemesis of McGarrett was Chinese agent Wo Fat.
Abu Sayyaf and Jemaah Islamiah might supplant Vietnam in the new version but Japan nor North Korea have replaced China as the threat in the Pacific. And one of the main team is a Chinese, or mostly Chinese/American cop Chin Ho. If they go in Danno's daughter being a target and McGarrett family already blown away I can see the Chin and Kono families also being called into the storylines.
