Question about birds

One of my friends has a little daughter who loves the colour pink ands also loves birds. My friend want to make her a home made picture book of different species of pink birds. Can anyone name some species of birds that are pink or mainly pink?

So far we have thought of

Flamingoes
Galah
Major Mitchell Cockatoo

Some hummingbirds have pinkish heads. For examples look up the Anna's Hummingbird species. Lewis's Woodpecker has a reddish-pinkish belly. There is also the Purple Finch. The Summer Tanager or Scarlet Tanager can range from red to a pink color. The Scarlet Ibis is like this as well. I have heard of doves turning pink when they eat krill. Some parrots and cockatoos are pink. That's all I can find for now. Hope it was some help.

Thanks for the info.

I looked up Anna's Hummingbird. It is a beautiful little creature.

I am sort of wondering why the Purple Finch is called that. in all the pictures I found of it it did look pink not purple.

I have also added the Pink Pigeon of Mauritius to my list.

Is it? I didn't recognise it because I couldn't see its spoon-shaped bill and it looked a lighter pink from other pictures of spoonbills I have looked at. I feel silly now.

There's a Pink-headed Duck, which isn't pink anywhere else, but might make the group - the head is a really nice shade of pink. :)

EDIT: There was a pink-headed duck. Apparently it's extinct now.

A Bird of paradise, species Paridisaea raggiana, looks pinkish-red. At least some of them might be pink enough to count?

^^^ I will pass all suggestions onto my friend and she can decided if they are pink enough.

I just looked him up. Another nice looking bird, what a shame it is probably extinct.

I have just added the Pink Robin to my list. It actually is a bird that occurs in Tasmania but I have never seen one.

Yes, I think he will do.

EDITED TO ADD - that photo of Paridisaea raggiana is a much better photo than the one you originally posted.

He isn't pink but I wonder if anyone can tell me what this bird is (I actually do know, I am just wondering if anyone else can work it out).
