I think we need a thread like this for our various bits of art that won't generate more than just a couple of replies on their own. I know there's many small sketches and little things I've done over the years that I haven't posted simply because it wouldn't be worth the board's time by itself. So now, I'm starting this thread for anyone to use, where you can throw all your little bits, scraps and sketches - doesn't even have to be completely Trek-related.

Just to get things started, here's a few of my orphan works:

Some craziness from the Trek XI boards:

This eventually evolved into my Leonov, but I still like this original sketch:

^No, but I have been drawing a *very* similar bare-footed dustball since the early 1980s!

That looks nice. I wonder if anyone has done a computer morph between TMP and TOS designs, just letting the computer find a median.

    ^^Nice!!

Good idea for a thread B.J.!

I've got a load of bits and pieces from a fanfic I was working on, but which never came to much. I probably spent too much time on the art and not enough on the writing.

Here's some icons I was using for chapter headings:

This thread is SUCH a great idea! For a while now I've been just dicking around with Photoshop and ImageReady, not anything anywhere near worthy of it's own threads, just simple stuff, so I've never posted it or anything. :D

This is a non-canon ship from Bridge Commander, the USS Chabot - Refit, that I animated:

I made a similar one with a screencap from First Contact:

As well as a similar avatar of the Enterprise D:

I've also tried my hand at recreating the transporter effect from TOS:
Not that this one meshes well at all, TOS effects, TNG background, and DS9 uniform.
(Yes, that's me being an uber-nerd. :alienblush:)

Like I said, wicked simple stuff, but I'm proud of it anyways. :p

I don't exactly have any specific direction I go with these sort of things, I just kind of pick a specific effect or technique I'd like to be able to do with Photoshop, mess around with it until I figure out how to do it, and then pop out a few different pictures that use that effect or technique. That's why I have 3 different warp-jump pictures, and (although I didn't post all of them) 3 different transporter effects.

The ship just above the bomber--I really like the neck cut-out you have there...

I like the Ent-E nacelles on the Excelsior hull. I bet the Aventine's would look good on her too.
