The nature and tone of this "Anthem" was just plain fun.

The sheer number of references to everything from Sci-Fi & Fantasy to Comics, Video Games and Anime are just insane.

(I only had to look up one reference, and that's only because I've still yet to start The Wheel of Time)

Also, you gotta love Katee Sackoff. (So say we all!)

Apparently 3 of the 4 girls featured in the vid, wrote the lyrics for this song.

They're calling themselves TEAM UNICORN.

Apparently Geek & Gamer Girls are like unicorns, they're not supposed to exist.

They were hot, and the lyrics look amusing, but I couldn't understand 90% of what they were singing. Was that a "round" they were doing, speaking over the top of each other the whole time, cause it sucked and ruined what could have been an epic vid.

I was thinking the same thing.

Well, I watched it again, and it would seem the last time something was fucked up with the stream. The first time I watched it the clip was about 30 seconds shorter, compressing the audio track just enough to make it impossible to follow.

Second run was much better. They're even hotter now that I understand them. Especially liked the Geek-verse American Beauty shots.

i contest the notion that gamer girls don't exist. i've known 7. one was a girl i was at college with IRL and was a big Streetfighter II and Final Fantasy fan. one was Caryn 'Hellchick' Law who worked for planetquake.com and later went to work for Activision - i IM'd with her. Another was a girl i actually played FPS games with. and the other 4 i knew on a games forum. 2 of them were really good texture artists, making character 'skins' for Quake 3.
