So apparently the colors of the American flag are not red, white and blue, they're brown, silver and blue.

Not bad...and on Nick Fury, that's the 616 Fury you're describing Anwar, I'm pretty sure that movie Nick Fury is meant to be a combo of both 616 and Ultimate Fury who has a different origin than the 616 one. I'd not be shocked if they incorporated elements of Jonathon Hickman's new history for SHIELD in the films...not saying they will but I wouldn't be surprised. These films tend to lift sources from all kinds of the source material.

I'd not be shocked if they incorporated elements of Jonathon Hickman's new history for SHIELD in the films...not saying they will but I wouldn't be surprised.

Hickman's stuff is way too fanciful to ever make it into the films. One imagines they'll play it pretty straight as a government agency.

Indeed...I assume that SHIELD will be formed by Stark and Fury...or we'll get some kind of backstory on it's formation, I doubt they will take the name from Cap's shield. I never thought Caulson said the acronym like it was new...

Really? I always find it lame in comic book movies when villains have time to paint a fleet of vehicles to match their persona.

All I wanna know is how do they go about the logo placement? I mean, if you think about it, you have to get duplications of Red Skull's insignia or logo made and then manufactured. Where do you go to get that done? How do you go about it?

Does Red Skull just walk into a marketing or ad agency, ask to see someone about designing and imprinting a logo, then wait for hours in the waiting room, then finally meet with a representative only to then kill him for the long, tedious wait?

It's like these supervillains should have their own marketing/logo placement department where their henchmen constantly work on creating designs and duplicating images for the implementation of the supervillain's logo on everything from motorbikes, to cars, weapons, etc. Sounds like a really laborious job.

Black eh? How original. The Red Skull insignia look like COBRA's logo so kind of looks like it's a candid shot from the GI JOE 2 production. Could have made them at least look like the SS. OR what's wrong with the green and yellow? Kick-Ass brought it back.

I was half-joking. My point is, we see a lot of comic-book villains who have a lot of goons and henchmen with logos, decked out cars, etc., and I always wonder how they create those logos and insignia-themed devices/tools. I always thought it was kind of interesting.

They have an explanation some of the time: There are other well off villains who do that customizing for others in exchange for more money and prestige because they already owned some manufacturing stuff to begin with.
