Massive quake hits New Zealand

A bit later to comment here than I'd intended, but I'm glad our NZ contingent is okay and having seen and read a lot of stuff about this quake it's clear it could all have been much, much worse. I'm thankful it didn't turn out that way.

I was just reading that 21 babies were born in the Christchurch Women's Hospital during the first 24 hours after the quake and that was a record. I wonder if the shock sent some women into labour?
