I'm already upset that Liz Vassey isn't returning. So some currently ephemerally famous young person of some sort is doing a guest shot? Inconsequential in comparison.

Look on the bright side. Maybe you'll get to see him get killed in the show. Like how Will Wheaton got killed in Toy Soldiers.

I saw one earlier that more prominently featured Justin Bieber and actually used his name as a "selling point" in it.

In the commercial I saw, Just Bieber was being "sold" as their big "celebrity criminal of the week" being showcased because of all of Bieber's bad... ass.... ery?

It's CBS and CSI trying to snag some more viewers by featuring a celebrity currently popular with young people. It's no different than Britney Spears appearing on How I Met Your Mother or any of the other casting stunts TV shows pull.

Yeah, well...she's hot. He's an annoying twerp.
This is her last season but she's leaving on her own accord.
I'm confused about Jorja Fox's Sara Sidle, personally. Not that I mind her in the show, as it seemed for a while with Peterson, Dourdan and her gone to be turning to CSI: The Next Generation or a revolving cast show like ER-but:
1-Didn't her character not like being a CSI or something, and that's why she left, mainly?
2-Wasn't she married to Grissom?
3-If so, where is Grissom? I know it was suppossed to be some sort of lecture tour or something but you'd figure the two would spend time together or something.
4-Wasn't she kind of nuts a bit too? Where's her 'edge' gone?

Sara and Grissom are still married. He's off in Paris, though, and she's helping out with the CSIs as a favor to Catherine, so I guess they have some sort of long-distance marriage.
And, yeah, she was pretty burned-out when she quit before. But I guess she can cope with the job better now that she actually has a life outside the lab these days. (Or at least that's how I handled it in my next CSI novel, due out in November!)
