I would sneak up behind the sweet little fairy and hit it over the head with my mallet, and then I would hit it again.

Fairies are sickly sweet - and I really hate sickly sweet.

I probably wouldn't kill the leprechaun until after he told me where all his gold was.

Hmm. I don't know. Athena would be great to have as the patron goddess of your city, but she has always struck me as rather stern and forbidding. Rightly or wrongly, I have the impression that she'd be like a drill sergeant in the sack.

Plus there's the whole "jealous other goddesses" angle to consider. Paris made the mistake of just saying that one of the three goddesses was more beautiful than the others--and Athena got so pissed-off that she helped destroy his whole city out of spite.

Best to stay away from goddesses entirely, I think.

Oh I know, Athena is protrayed in myth to be one of the sternest Goddesses, but also one of the smartest and most beautiful, just personal choice.

I'm not picky about what, exactly, as long at it can be defeated with witty insults and/or fire.

Or maybe a dragon. A big one. That way, everyone would be like "Hey, there's Kommander the Dragon Slayer! He's awesome!" and then I'd have my pick of the tavern wenches. I don't know how I'd go about defeating a dragon; fire probably wouldn't work, and witty insults would probably just make it angry. Grenades? Yes, I'll go with grenades. Grenades fix everything.
