AMC Zombie TV Show Looks Like Fun

I was just over on Blastr (formerly SciFi Wire) snooping around and they had the new trailer for their upcoming zombie show "The Walking Dead". It premiers on Halloween evening. It looks pretty good. Nothing like a sheriff on horseback toting a 357 and 12 gauges over his back. The premise reminds me of "Earth Abides" in that the guy wakes up in a post apocalyptic world, except that he's surrounded by zombies and he needs to find his family. The trailer is worth checking out, if you ask me. I just can't resist a good zombie flick. Maybe because "Night of the Living Dead" was filmed around here. Here is the link as I copied it.:cardie:

My most anticipated show of the fall season. :techman:

Too bad it doesn't air till October.

I also wish there were more than 6 episodes.

28 Days Later and Resident Evil 2 also had a similar premise, but I guess all being homages to that. I guess you could only reallly tell it a few different ways without divulging too much right off the bat.

If Darabont stays as true to the spirit of Kirkman's comic, then this series will be quite a bit more than "fun." It will, in fact, be utterly brilliant. I cannot wait for it to premiere.

AMC is doing great things with television: Breaking Bad, Mad Men, Rubicon, potentially this. AMC + FX = pretty much the only tv channels I need.
