I miss my Molly

We had to put our dog to sleep today. Molly was the greatest dog/friend one could ever hope to have. I was so lucky to have her for the time we shared. She was 70 pounds of pure love. Not an agressive bone in her body. If you stopped petting her she'd try to get you to pet her more with her paw, as if she was trying to grab your hand and pull it to her. I know that many have gone through this same thing, so I'm not unique here, but she was my friend, and I just feel the need to spill my guts a little. Thanks for understanding.

RIP, Molly. :(

My condolences on your loss. I know what it's like to lose a beloved Pet (many times). And Molly was the name of my Mother's last cat, who died a couple of years ago. Do you have any pictures you can post?

I'm sorry to hear about your loss. And as sad as that "Rainbow Bridge" is, it always leads to a very good place.

I'm sorry to hear about your Molly. I lost my Coco a few years back and even though I have two pups in the house I will always miss her.

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together...
.

SBK, my deepest condolences to you. Do you have any pictures of Molly that you can share with us?

We've been through it too. It sucks. {{squishy hug}}

My little Smooshie is waiting for your Molly at the Rainbow Bridge.

It's so hard losing a pet. They become members of the family, when they are gone it's a big emptyness left over because the pet is always the one who comforts you no matter what, when everything else is gone screwed up, that pet, is the one to sit beside you still. That's something I really miss when my Dog was gone. I haven't wanted to have a pet since then.

I'm so very sorry to hear that. :(

My best wishes to you and yours as you cope with this loss. I can't imagine how I'll feel when the same day comes for my wife and I with our Boo.

Sorry for the loss of Molly. It always hurts so much to lose a beloved pet.

Me too.

Sorry about your loss sbk. I got 2 dogs that are definitely part of the family. They are the first dogs I've owned on my own as an adult and will be devastated when their number is up.

My boss was telling me he may have to put his down this week, and it totally bummed me out.
