starsuperion, I'm not sure if you've clued into this yet or not but you're starting to annoy people. Your blanket generalisations and thinly veiled insults at people who don't share your views are wearing more than a little thin.

I AM SORRY IF YOU TAKE OFFENSE AT MY COMMENTS..

that is certainly not my intent..

as far as annoying goes.. what ever dude..you seem to chime in on this thread and others and add bits here and there that seem to be placed just to incite a reaction..

so whatever..man

I just love a debate..and I find that this is funny considering the sheer magnitude of passion..it is colour, what we see all the time..it's just weird is all..:guffaw:

besides, no one is forcing you to read my posts..if they annoy you, don't read them!

You really do have a long road ahead of you as far as developing maturity. Your excessive use of smilies and your need to capitalise and bold your text speaks volumes.

I like to liven up dull text, which is also an indication of how I feel about this particular subject involving colourising the classic Doctor who..

As far as my text goes, what may seem childish to some, is simply fun and amusing to others..much like the doctor's use of jelly babies..:p

Besides, I question the notion of what constitutes maturity from someone who repeatedly leaves short and inane commentary simply meant to start an argument..

EDIT:

Josan, how about this, I am sincerely sorry if I offended you or anyone else, and I don't know you, and you do not know me.. and I would rather befriend a person here then alienate them.. so please ignore the earlier commentary, and let's move onward with a fresh friendly tone, as I would prefer to have it that way then have it the other.. I really do not want to bicker on a site that is devoted to a subject I enjoy..

As I have stated before about mirror-ball-man, I respect your opinions, and I think you are all brilliant.. every person has a powerful wisdom to them.. and I think you have it as well.. so let us please step forward on a greater note then we have done thus far, please?

if not, I understand.. but, I have to try.. peace and friendship is definitely more preferable to me, then "word warfare".. :)

I have one caveat though..

you are just going to have to put up with the smileys.. I like being silly :D..

Well... maybe for the historicals. William Hartnell has been quoted as saying that he thought it a great shame the audience never got to see the gorgeous sets and costumes for Marco Polo and The Aztecs in full colour. Looking at the colour publicity stills I tend to agree with him.

Then again, Jacqui Hill professed a preference for B&W as she felt it made futuristic stories (such as The Daleks and The Sensorites) more mysterious and atmospheric. I'm not sure if I'd have wanted to argue with her either...

well that is the best thing about choice.. and leaving choice in the individual's hands..

with there just being a B&W who available, then we are out of luck in finding out which would have been better..

was Hatrnell right or Jacqui Hill?? As for right now, we have to go with hill..But my money would be on Hartnell's perspective..

I would love to see a Coloured Aztecs episode..

and the Chase! to see the Planets of the Mechanoids and their civilization.. I imagines briht greens, yellows and reds in the plants around their citadel.. that would have been a glorious scene to watch...especially the flame throwers going at the Daleks!:techman:

I'm not opposed to colourising. And animizing the episodes would be cool. But I would happy to just see comic book style panels with the soundtrack, if I could just see them once.

Should the classic black and white who shows be released in colour on DVD and Blue ray?

I actually love the black and white serials, however, in wondering what would the classic series had looked like in colour, I stumbled across these examples, and I must say, now that I have seen these in colour, I am on a definite yes.. :techman:

sorry guys..but they just rock!
