Should I be worried about this?

I think there's something odd with me. Whenever I walk into a Christian bookstore, I get dizzy, disoriented, and sometimes a headache. I also feel awkward in churches of any number of Christian sects. I can also sometimes sense if a person truly believes in God, and friendships with such people are usually brief.

I'm worried, real worried. Can anyone help?

The problem is with your attitude, and unfortunately that is only something that you can change.

Answer this simple diagnostic checklist:

A) Are you able to see your reflection in a mirror?

B) Are you allergic to garlic?
- Silver?
- Crucifixes?
- Wooden Stakes?
- Ultraviolet light (variations from sparkling to exploding in flames may occur)?

C) Does your heart beat?

D) Is your skin pale?

E) Do people often form "teams" either for you or your rival?

F) Can you enter a home without being invited?

G) Could you be conveniently buried in your bed?

H) Is your girlfriend named Sookie or Bella?

I) Do you ever feel compelled to fly?
- Turn into a bat?
- Chug a keg of blood?
- Dress like an emo fashion model?

J) Are you possessed of superhuman strength, speed, and agility?

K) Has Anne Rice ever written about any interviews you've given?

L) Has Wesley Snipes ever tried to kill you and/or make you evade paying your taxes?

It's possible that these bookstores all happen to built over undergound leaking gas pipes, the people in the store have built up a resistance to the methane so are uneffected, or have been there long enough to overcome the initial symptoms and simply accept everything as normal.

You're walking in there is a lot like a frog being tossed into a pot of boiling water he's going to react differently than the frogs that were sitting in the water as it was being heated up to a boil.

Thus ends my DDX.

Why are you going to Christian bookstores and churches? There is nothing interesting in there. As for people who truly believe in God, they are just a pain in the ass, no wonder friendship is brief with them.

(:p)

There is nothing wrong in beleiving in god.

You can meet lots of people if that is what you like.
My daughter went to a christian school and she made quite a few freinds and they sometimes go to diffrent functions to do with the church.
My daughter does beleve in god but she is not into it like alot of people but she does like a few aspects of it.
She does say that sometimes they start praying like mad but at other times it can be fun

As one who is a Christian, I can say that this is not true.

Taking this ridiculous non-issue semi-seriously for the moment:

I think there's something odd with me.

Yes.

Whenever I walk into a Christian bookstore, I get dizzy, disoriented, and sometimes a headache.
I don't buy it, but don't go into any Christian bookstores then. Problem solved.

I also feel awkward in churches of any number of Christian sects.

Does your Savior-Sense start tingling when they talk about Jesus or when you notice that they're visiting these churches and Christian bookstores you frequently go to despite them allegedly making you feel ill or awkward?

Congratulations, you have the power of sight and hearing. You're just a step away from being one of the X-Men.

and friendships with such people are usually brief.
It's not much of a friendship if you've already poisoned the well by pre-judging them based on your precognitive GODAR, and then determining that a friendship is unlikely to last.

If they behave like a tool, then don't be friends with them. If your only criteria for not forming lasting friendships with these people is just the fact that they believe in a God, though, then you're likely going to be very lonely.

I'm worried, real worried.
No, you're really, really not.

Can anyone help?
You, and you alone. This is entirely about your attitude, and your alleged related health issues are incredibly easy to solve by not going to places that make you feel ill.

well of course he's a vamp, look at his av! (duh!)

Edit:after I posted this I suddenly reread it in Sam Merlotte's voice, lol.

If you are really worried about things in general you should seek professial help then that would solve your problem.

O RLY?

All this talk of Christianity is angering the Ori. ;)

Do you have cat eyes, and was your mother a skinny waiflike woman with a short Sassoon haircut?

Maybe you're simply far too self-conscious about being in a place with Christians. In most cases they're just buildings with people in them, nothing more. And unless they have a history of converting people from ambush or committing mass-suicides, you should relax.

Do you like hanging around at Christian Bookshops, going to church and chatting to Christians?

If not, I wouldn't worry about it.

Just imagine them naked. You'll be fine.
