Do Animals Other Than Humans Have Souls?

I only think of a SOUL as the essence of personality. No religious connotations. By my definition, such as it is, then, yes, some animals(most?) have souls. I know my dog Sister had one. She had more personality than my 11th grade US History teacher...

I come from a religious perspective. I believe that humans are created in God's image, and thus have a different kind of soul (a soul like God's) than animals who are not created in God's image.

Speaking strictly from a theological and Christian POV, no they do not.

Speaking from a fluffy, kiddie, fru-fru point of view. Yes, they do.

Speaking from a secular, likely real-world, scientific point of view. Souls do not exsist period.
