Sweet. I never bought the first trilogy release so I'll probably get this.

I might just hold out a few more years for the 2015 Where The Hell's My Flying Car Edition.

    This caught my eye:

I'd love to see some of the footage with Eric Stolz as Marty. Does anyone know if the footage still exists?

I've often wondered the same thing. I know they shot quite a few scenes before the recast, and I think it would be fascinating to see what Stolz did with the character we all came to know and love.

"Heavy, heavy, heavy! What's wrong with the planet's gravitation pull in the future?" I forget the entire line though. Chris Lloyd's delivery of it is fantastic though.

Can't wait - BTTF in full HD with Master Audio, bring it on. But please Universal, don't screw the transfer up - back the hell off the DNR. The recent Flash Gordon BD, although obviously superior to previous DVD releases, is DNR'd to the hilt; robbing the image of detail that really should be there at 1080 pixels.

I'm curious as to what the original ending was supposed to be.

^ AFAIK, Marty was supposed to return to 1985 by driving the car into a military installation just as a nuclear bomb test was occurring.

In the original ending I believe Marty traveled further back into time, sometime in the mid-late 40s and to get the DeLorean back to the future he has to drive it into a nuclear explosion which they exploited in a Nevada Test site.

Yup, Marty was originally going to have a wacky adventure involving a 1950's atomic bomb test site detonation.

And yup, the time machine was originally going to be a refrigerator.

Yup, I'm glad they decided to keep working on the script.

Oh cool! I never picked it up on DVD (first because I heard about some problems with the discs, then other stuff just got in the way). Instant buy for me. :)

I might have to buy this if it's not ridiculously expensive.
