Kate Mulgrew in Tulsa for Charity

Classic beauty is like a fine wine.

Kate's an really wonderful person full of energy. I was talking to Kate's webmaster, and she said that, if you have to walk with Kate, you have to walk really fast. She's one of those people... the kind that are energizer bunnies.

I think that's rather charming.

Diseases of the mind scare the crap out of me, frankly. There's still so little we know and understand about the human brain, and the idea of losing your sense of self is just... frightening. I think this is a very worthy cause.

AMEN.. had a grandfather die of alzheimers and a great aunt who is suffering badly with it. IT is a worthy cause.

I didn't watch the video, but reading the speech almost brought me to tears. How wonderful of KM to give credit to those people who have the gift of caring for others during their most difficult times. Truly, those people are heroes who are often overlooked. Let's hope that all of us have a sweet and caring person to look after us in our final hours.

Wonderful speech about a most difficult time.

I still can't believe how the daughter (not "the actress") was able to pull off that Janeway/Tuvok scene in Voyager's finale as her Mother was beginning her jouney down this long dark road.

It had to be difficult. I think a lot of the emotion we see in that scene from Kate comes from this fact.

Never hooked the two together but that had to be hard.

This has sort of become the "Kate Mulgrew" thread, so I figured I could promote more Kate viewing.

I'm tempted to go out and buy this movie she's in called The Response, which is based on the military tribunals in Guantanamo Bay. Just the few clips I've seen (especially those involving Kate) have made me want to see it, above and beyond the subject matter.
