Nice World Cup for the English-speaking countries, eh? USA and England in the next round, Australia just narrowly missing and even New Zealand is having a good time.
Not forgetting South Africa, who only went out on GD as well.

Really? Ghana hasn't scored any field goal in this tournament and the game today showed why. They had a number of excellent chances but were unable to score, even against a pretty shaky defense.
Although finishing top of the group would have ensured a relatively easier path to the SFs, the prospect of matches against Germany and Argentina is particularly mouthwatering!
TBH, based on yesterday's games I fancy us to knock out Germany, but it depends on which England and Germany teams turn up on Sunday.
Isn't Spain v Brazil still very much on the cards?
Not sure if anyone's brought this up yet, but:

Put in any url and comedy ensues.
For my money James looked far more assured yesterday than the German keeper. I'd imagine that Gerrard and Lampard will be bearing that in mind![]()
People often berate James, but where England's concerned, he doesn't actually do that much wrong. He seems to get lumped in the same group as Robinson, Carson and Green who've all made absolutely, fundamental howlers. James has never done that for England.
Let's hope they do. The German team is more a team of the future, anyway. It would be great to see them play again like against Australia.
And it would be great if England could show its potential at least once in this World Cup. I still can't believe they only managed a goalless draw against Algeria.![]()
