A Van Gogh painting ferried across thousands of years, communicating a disturbing prophecy to the Doctor, a message on the oldest cliff-face in the universe and a love that lasts a thousand years. In 102 AD England, Romans receive a surprise visit from Cleopatra. Nearby, Stonehenge conceals the Pandorica, a prison-box of legend. As it slowly unlocks from the inside, terrible forces gather in the heavens above. The fates are drawing close around the TARDIS – is this the day the Doctor falls? There is just one certainty: Silence will fall...

The penultimate episode before the finale. I'm still on my vacation and will be at a graduation in Rye, New York.

Is this going to be a two parter?

Hard to say. It won't air until after the World Cup! Oh, also (SPOILERS) the Doctor dies forever and doesn't regenerate.

I AM WONDERING HOW THE SHOW WILL CONTINUE WITHOUTZ TEH DOCTOR?? DO YOU THINK RIVER SONG WILL BE THE NEW DOCTOR OR MAYBE A DALEK WILL REGENERATE INTO DOCTOR WHO??????

What time does it start GMT today? Is it still the normal time or does the World Cup push it back a few hours?

yep its 18:40 as far as I know, and im pretty confident Doctor Who will be on next week, hopefully not too early.

Almost time! What's this embarrassing junk on beforehand? Total Wipeout should be called Total Rubbish.

OMG!!!!

Just fantastic, and that build and suspense took us right to the edge of our seats and has left us there for a whole week.....perfect.

Brilliant bit of TV that.

That was bloody good. Only gripe – the Cyberman bit in the middle was entirely superfluous and a bit rubbish.

Rory returning was a fantastic shock, as was the revelation that he was one of the duplicates too. The Autons appearing was nice, as was the idea of the alliance - all these races combining to counter what they see as the threat. Of course, they're wrong, but...

Who is speaking in the TARDIS? Is that person the one controlling the TARDIS, and why? How will the Doctor escape? What role will Amy play? And why isn’t it next week yet?!

I thought it was just good, lots of unanswered questions and I'm hoping the conclusion is good.

Wow!
Amazing episode so much happening, yet so much mystery for what will be next. We've got 7 days to wait till the sequel.:(
One thing I did wonder about is why the dr always walks around without the tardis. It would prove an easy solution tp everythinng which is the problem.
Also could have done without the assimilate reference as cybermen predate the Borg.

But this series has been the most well thought out of new who and I can't wait to see what happens next.

Excellent :techman:

So Rory wasn't real and he is still dead and all the past season characters are linked together via some superb writing from Moffat to gel the overall arc into the story. All his enemies have joined forces not to kill The Doctor but to construct a prison that is throughout time waiting for him to arrive to save The Universe, unaware they are being played by some other being.

I cannot wait and I loved the ending with silence falling and now cue the poll to be highly rated but the moaners to complain...I wish I could construct my own box to store people in

one last thing...

Who was controlling The Tardis, whose voice was it ? Who has played literally everyone in the Universe for a fool.

God I can't wait.

That was fun, with lots of "ooh" moments. Helluva cliffhanger too, and I guess I can't really comment much on this half before we see the rest of the story.

I hope there's more to the Pandorica than just a prison, like, maybe it erases the Doctor's timeline or something, cos otherwise then the obvious question is if the monsters think he destroys the universe, and they want to stop it, why not just fucking kill him?!

Most interesting question- who's saying "the silence will fall" and presumably is controlling the TARDIS to make it explode?

Oh, and the zombie Cyberman was the best bit. Was amused when it used the "A" word.

Odd that there was no "next time" trailer.
