Suggestions?

I just got a gift certificate for Barnes and Noble. I'm thinking of getting a dvd. Perhaps a series. It's only $40. I'd love some suggestions. I like collecting older, and somewhat obscure series that you don't see all the time on TVLand. For example, I have the Young Indinana Jones, Planet of the Apes (TV series) and Space Academy. I know it's not a huge amount of money, so even if a series costs more, it could help give me ideas, and I can always supplement with my own money.
Thanks for the ideas.

The Wild Wild West.

That reminds me that I bought that at B&N and have that to watch if TV and/or ranch work gets slow.

^^ Kung Fu is an excellent suggestion. So is Ray Bradbury Theater and Wild Wild West.

However, sbk1234, since you like Young Indiana Jones and Planet Of The Apes, and you're looking for something on the obscure side, I recommend Tales Of The Gold Monkey. This was a one-season show back in 1982, and it is seriously one of the best shows I have ever seen. It is an incredibly well-written, well-cast and-well produced homage to the adventure serials of the 30s and 40s. There is no show that I could give a higher recommendation to.

I also recommend Tales of the Gold Monkey. I just ordered it from Amazon, and got it for $30.00, when it's going for $49.00 at other places.

Given that Barnes & Noble (and Borders, usually) typically charge $5.00 more for DVD's (at least where I live they do), I definately think using your gift certificate for DVD's is a good idea.

I was actually thinking Tales of the Gold Monkey. Haven't seen that since it was first on. And the one-eyed dog was cool.

I'm not making this suggestion to be a smart ass, I make it in all seriousness. Use the gift card to buy a book. DON'T buy movies at B&N/Borders. They're just too expensive. It's much cheaper to buy DVDs from Amazon.

It's much cheaper to buy ANYTHING from Amazon.
