Who prefers Archer/T'Pol?

I think T'Pol was pretty much destined to end up engaging in a romance/sexual tryst with a human. She wanted that emotional connection. You see it in Twilight clearly ("he saved my life" doesn't really cut it as a reason for her years of devotion). Her choice to stay aboard an earth ship, a position that was intolerable to previous Vulcans is because she is both drawn to Humans and perhaps less stressed there. Her own mother says she always had difficulty controlling her emotions. On an earth ship she can be the picture of logic to humans even though a Vulcan would see her as having imperfect control. The pressure is off.
I liked Archer/T'Pol, and Trip/Hoshi.
I'm watching season 4 for the first time, and I keep thinking that I'm picking up on some feelings on T'pol side. Were they planning on doing a love triangle if the show had continued?

There were some definite moments there.
I reckon Hoshi would have totally gone for it too.
I thought they had great chemistry. I saw them as having developed a close, trusted friendship over the course of the series as opposed to having romantic feelings, but if the circumstances were different -- if Archer were not her commander, for example -- I could certainly see the potential for something romantic to develop between them.
As written, I don't think T'Pol ever allowed herself to entertain the idea (except in "Twilight," when the circumstances were very different), and the only time it occurred to Archer was when he was massively sleep-deprived and stressed out in "A Night in Sickbay," and a victim of Phlox's wacko theorizing about sexual tension.
I rather like that Archer and T'Pol worked together and formed a lasting friendship of trust and respect without some huge ongoing struggle to fight their unrequited romantic yearnings, yada yada. It just didn't seem to be in character for them, IMHO. Sometimes a close friendship can be a deeper and more meaningful connection.
That being said, they had some terrific scenes together with great subtext... "Andorian Incident" and "P'Jem," "Shockwave II," "Singularity," "The Seventh," "Impulse," "Twilight" of course, "Azati Prime," the Vulcan trilogy and the Andorian trilogy.
And yeah, that scene between T'Pol and Hoshi in "Sleeping Dogs" had great subtext too.

NO! I never saw ANY chemistry between Archer & T'Pol. Trip & T'Pol, absolutely.
I definitely agree with this. I saw Archer and T'Pol as friends but no chemistry between them in a romantic way.
I wouldn't necessarily say I prefer Archer/T'Pol, but I would prefer Trip/Hoshi. Trip and T'Pol's 'chemistry' seemed rather forced to me. T'Pol/Archer could have worked, and there was definite 'chemistry' or whatever you want to call it in Twilight, even though that was an AU. I think because of the Archer/T'Pol in that ep they should have hinted at some Trip/Hoshi. I wrote a fanfic with that idea once...
So yeah, I guess I would have preferred Archer and T'Pol to Trip and T'Pol.

Same here. The personalities seem to mesh better. Trip and Hoshi are both more carefree, and Archer and T'Pol really aren't. I know a lot of people say opposites attract, but I've found that opposites tend to get on each others' nerves after a while.

I think Trip was much more suited to T'Pol's particular dysfunctions.. which is often how we choose our mates.

I do, too. I hoped for Trip and Hoshi to get together early in the series, until it became clear that the writers had chosen a different direction.
I have to satisfy my Trip/Hoshi needs with fan fiction.
I agree. This way we got to stories. Archer/T'Pol going from distrust to strong friendship and Trip/T'Pol distrust to romance.

and I also rely on fanfiction to see a functional future for them.On the other hand, any attempts to show Archer and T'Pol romantically interested to each other, seemed very forced and not believable to me.
