Doctors To Operate on Boy With Swollen Head.

When I first saw the thread title, my immediate thought was, "They can do that now? I know a few people who could use that operation."

Now, after clicking on the link, I feel bad for thinking that. :(

(OTOH, this may be where the rumour of the grey aliens from Zeta Reticuli came from...)

Yes, I'm terrible.

Imagine a two-year-old boy with a horrible condition like that, and the parents have to raise money to help him.

And the neighborhood kids make fun of him.

Nice.

An unknown stranger later visited their house, asking to see Eugene in order to confirm that the photos he had seen were not photoshopped, and wanting to check that the parents were not scamming internet users.

The man then donated almost the entire amount of money required for the operation.

I think that counts as like a whole decade worth of good deeds. Kudos, stranger!

Are you shocked? Seriously? They're kids. They're gonna make fun.

And they should be hauled off and disciplined for it. Kids who get away with crap like that turn into unbearable adults, and there are already far too many of those around.

It helps me remember how totally blessed I am to have children with no serious medical conditions. Most parents should really count their blessings.

Best of luck to him and his family.

I agree. I'm not defending them, i'm just not surprised that they're doing it, is all.

The image of him laying there in sheer misery just breaks my heart. :(
